“What the f*** are you doing?”: Trump blasts Netanyahu in call over Lebanon strikes, says report

Washington, DC [US], June 2 (ANI): US President Donald Trump lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a heated telephone conversation on Monday, holding the Israeli leader responsible for generating global animosity towards his nation, Axios reported.
The confrontation was triggered after Iran issued a warning earlier that day, threatening to halt diplomatic engagements with Washington over ongoing military actions in Lebanon. This prompted an aggressive intervention from the US President, who at one point yelled at Netanyahu, “What the f*** are you doing?"
According to a US official cited by Axios, Trump expressed immense frustration over what he perceived as a disproportionate military response to Hezbollah’s strikes on Israel.
The report noted that the US President strongly objected to the destruction of entire buildings to target an individual Hezbollah commander, whilst also taking issue with Tel Aviv’s escalating threats against Beirut.
Another source privy to the discussion summarised part of Trump’s comments as “everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this," Axios reported.
Following the volatile exchange, Netanyahu’s office released a statement asserting that Israel’s position “remains the same".
However, a US official told Axios that Trump had actually “steamrolled" the Israeli Prime Minister during the call.
Axios quoted the official as saying, “Bibi said, ‘OK, OK, just make sure everything is taken care of.'"
An additional administration official remarked that the interaction stood out as one of Trump’s worst calls with Netanyahu since the commencement of his second presidential term.
In the wake of the diplomatic showdown, Trump took to social media to outline the immediate fallout of his intervention.
In a post on Truth Social, the US President announced that Netanyahu had “turned his Troops around" after he explicitly asked the Israeli leader “not to go into a major raid of Beirut".
Demonstrating his intent to keep the broader Middle East diplomatic track alive despite the friction, Trump wrote in a subsequent post that talks were continuing “at a rapid pace" with Iran. (ANI)

The Farhud began in Baghdad, as pro-Nazi rioters attacked Jews during Shavuot, murdering 150-180 people, injuring hundreds, r*ping women, and looting 1,500 homes and stores, marking the beginning of the end for Iraq's 2,500 year old Jewish community.
The Farhud began in Baghdad on June 1, 1941, during the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.
It came after years of rising Nazi influence in Iraq. German propaganda spread through Arabic radio broadcasts, Mein Kampf was translated and published locally, and pro-Axis Iraqi nationalists, including supporters of Rashid Ali al-Gailani and the former Mufti of Jerusalem, helped poison public life with antisemitic hate.
When the pro-German Iraqi regime collapsed, Baghdad’s Jews believed the danger had passed. Instead, soldiers, policemen, Futtuwa youths, civilians, and Bedouins turned on them. For two days, mobs hunted Jews through the city. Between 150 and 180 Jews were murdered, around 600 were injured, women were raped, and about 1,500 homes and stores were looted.
The Farhud shattered one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world. Jews had lived in Iraq since the 6th century BCE, long before Islam reached the region. But after the massacre, many Iraqi Jews understood that their future in Iraq was dying. By 1951, about 124,000 of Iraq’s 135,000 Jews had left for Israel.
Those who stayed behind faced more persecution, discrimination, arrests, frozen bank accounts, job dismissals, and fear. In 1969, Ba’athist Iraq publicly hanged 14 people accused of spying, nine of them Jews. Baghdad Radio invited people to “come and enjoy the feast,” and hundreds of thousands reportedly came to watch, dance, and celebrate under the bodies.
The Farhud was one of the main events you could look to in order to understand the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the entire middle east. It was an event my own family told me about, and that convinced them to move to Israel themselves.
Like many Jewish refugees from across the region, they knew the road ahead would be hard. They knew they would have to leave most of their property behind, use whatever money they had to bribe their way through several Arab countries, and arrive in Israel with almost nothing, often living in poor transit camps, the Maabarot. But they had no real choice.
I am deeply grateful for the sacrifices they made, and for the courage it took to build a better future, and an amazing life, for all of us here.

Digwa's family aided him in hiding his crime, with his mother hiding the knife used to stab Nowak, and other members of his family repeating false claims of a racist attack by Nowak and concealing the fact he had been stabbed as he lay dying.
