ReplyDeleteKamran Ullah: "Those children all say: I am Turkish, I am Moroccan, I am Pakistani. No one feels Dutch. That does worry me."
"I do worry that there is now a third, fourth generation. I happened to speak with a neighbor this week, and he teaches in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, and he says: those children all say: I am Turkish, I am Moroccan, I am Pakistani. No one feels Dutch. They are six, seven years old."
These are children of the third and fourth generation. They were born and raised here, but still do not feel Dutch.
This is a much bigger problem than many people think. There are now large groups in the Netherlands that have no connection to the country.
