RPK exposes major cracks in Bersatu with power struggle pitting Team Hamzah vs Team Azmin-Peja

RPK exposes major cracks in Bersatu with power struggle pitting Team Hamzah vs Team Azmin-Peja

INSINUATING that Bersatu is currently in a self-destruct mode which can potentially be disastrous to the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) has pointed to a major internal rift within the party with the emergence of “Team Hamzah vs Team Azmin-Peja”.

Following this pressing problem, the opposition-slant mercenary blogger claimed that Bersatu has called for its supreme council meeting this Sunday (Jan 28) to explore solution to that major internal conflict.

“This development is worrisome to PAS … Bersatu has put PN in a dead duck situation whereby all the plan to topple the unity government is heading nowhere and very much like a pie in the sky, hence diminishing the chances of PN to take over the government,” berated RPK in his latest video clip.

“Bersatu has even eroded the confidence of the National Palace after its sixth MP openly expressed support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim while hardcore PN supporters like myself tend to perceive Bersatu as sabotaging PN from the inside.”

Elaborating on the internal struggle, RPK chided party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for fuelling the entire conflict rather than facilitating power transition by hanging on to the party prudent post despite “no longer interested in becoming PM nor keen to contest in GE16 or looking towards retirement”.

This thus prompted Team Hamzah led by Bersatu’s secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin and Team Azmin-Peja jointly led by supreme council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (Peja) eyeing the party’s presidency.

“While the body is still warm, power struggle has ensued with the main focus being the party’s presidency contest once Muhyiddin (who also happens to be the PN chairman) steps down,” lamented the self-exiled RPK from his Manchester, UK residence.

“This internal war has clouded national interest like plotting for the unity government’s downfall via the Dubai Move … Instead of identifying the right PMXI candidate, the power strugglers within Bersatu are more willing to see Anwar continue to helm the country than to allow their enemies from within their party to succeed Anwar.”

Added RPK: “Such selfish trait seems to be so entrenched in the Malay culture so much so that the clashing parties are more willing to forgo their interest to the Chinese than to see their enemies have the upper hand.”

Earlier, the controversial blogger expects eight to 10 ‘cross-overs’ to happen in due course after Tanjong Karang MP Datuk Dr Zulkaperi Hanapi recently become the sixth lawmaker from Bersatu to declare his support for Anwar. – Jan 26, 2024
