PETALING JAYA: Former Ketereh Umno chief Annuar Musa has confirmed that he received his letter of expulsion from Umno.
However, the letter, signed by party secretary-general Ahmad Maslan, did not mention what offences he had allegedly committed, he said.
“The letter only mentions the relevant sections of the rules without mentioning any acts or accusations,” he said in a statement.
The letter said the Umno Supreme Council had decided on Dec 8 to strip Annuar of his party membership for violation of party ethics.
Annuar said he would respond “in a day or two”.
Annuar was one of the three grassroots leaders who were dismissed following his criticisms of Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and also allegedly helping the party’s rivals in the recent general election.
