The Covid threat in today's elections

Undeniably, the recent state election, plus and especially its pre-campaigning, has brought about the current (3rd) wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The only person to be blamed (even though almost everyone is calling for us to stop finger pointing) has to be Shafie Apdal.

If we recall, Shafie advised the YDP Negeri to dissolve the state parliament in the face of Musa allegedly having enough amphibians to wrest control of the majority rule, but the die was cast as HE exercised his prerogative to disband the state assembly - so we had the Sabah state election and its pre campaigning which gave little rom for 'social distancing', thus we have the avalanche of Covid-19 cases in its new fury.

Because the trigger was pulled by Shafie, can we also blamed Atuk as Shafie was his political puppet, by the promise of becoming PM-9 (so as to prevent Anwar from ascending to that post)?

Such has been the shock of the pandemic gaining a stronger presence in the midst of pre-election campaigning in Sabah recently, that now, even Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, UMNO Youth Boss, has called on both Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional to not contest the Batu Sapi by-election amidst skyrocketing Covid-19 cases.

Asyraf suggested via his FB that the parliamentary seat should remain with Parti Warisan Sabah following the death of Datuk Liew Vui Keong. I am not sure of the legal constitutional implications if such an arrangement, to wit, Batu Sapi remaining in Warisan hands without a by-election, could be allowed, save if BN and PN accepts a 'walk-over' by Warisan in the mandatory by-election.

And to make matters more dire, GPS is now talking about its own Sarawak state election, especially as the Sarawakian ruling coalition is considering severing ties its alliance with Perikatan Nasional, particularly with Parti Pribumi (PPBM) and UMNO over the Petronas deal as well as the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), and with all PN's 3 parties of PPBM, UMNO and PAS desiring to intrude into Sarawak, hitherto a PBB exclusive domain, to contest in Sarawak's state lection.

Maybe we should get Boris Johnson in as a consultant on Covid-19 'herd immunity'?

  2. No no no we all got this wrong. As usual blame everything on Toonsie.
The guy responsible for the Sabah state elections is the AG Idrus Harun.

He dropped all 47 corruption charges against Musa Aman, who then promptly rounded up the poisonous cane toads and tadpoles to destabilize the government, causing it to fracture.

    And who appointed Idrus Harun.....????
