Crusade in Sabah?

TMI - Muslims, not Christians, targeting natives, Sabah group tells Hadi (extracts):

crusade, a war between Christians and Muslims

A Sabah Christian group, Perpaduan Anak Negeri Sabah (PAN), has hit out at PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for his remarks against Christian missionaries, saying it was Muslim dakwah groups, not Christians, baiting their targets with money and other forms of aid.

PAN chairman Pastor Esther Golingi said Muslim preachers from the peninsula were known to enter interior areas in Sabah, such as Pensiangan, Pitas and Ranau, offering locals cash and other incentives to embrace Islam.

“It was only after the formation of Malaysia, that Sabahans experienced being offered inducement and bribery to convert to Islam.

“Creeping Islamisation from the peninsula into Sabah is as clear as day,” she said.

She said there were cases in which people converted based on the promises offered but the bargain was not reciprocated.

“An individual’s conversion to or out of any religion should be done out of free will – without inducement, bribery nor deceit.

“These conversion tactics have been raised time and again, but our cries seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

“As a matter of fact, these dakwah groups have intensified their operations here. What is our local government doing about this?”

Esther also asked if the dakwah groups were funded by taxpayers in the form of allocations from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim).

She said teachers from the peninsula posted to Sabah schools repeatedly persuaded children to convert with Islamic teachings in classrooms and hostels.

Problem is both Islam and Christianity are evangelistic religions. Followers of these two religions deem it their holy duties to proselytize (convert), by whatever means, whatever it takes, every which way.

Their competition has always been referred to as a crusade.

But what annoys me most is not so much the proselytization but the use of taxpayers' money to fund the dakwah (Islamic missionary-proselytization) movements.

You may care to note JAKIM requires an annual budget of approximately RM1 billion, yes, billion not mere million.

Religious activities of any denomination should be funded ONLY by believers of the respective religious denomination, not unwitting non-religious or not-affiliated taxpayers. Indeed, money from/by the latter would be very haram funds.

Malaysian education - from rot to risk!

In a home school, the kid does 95% of the work. But in a school system, since it's an indoctrination system, a teacher has to do 95% of the work.

- John Taylor Gatto

Three days ago, TMI published Fed up with policy flip-flops, brainwashing, parents turn to home-schooling, extracts as follows:

TMI photo

An outdated school system, education policy flip-flops and religious indoctrination are among the reasons cited by parents who choose to home-school their children.

This is despite the fact that primary education is compulsory in Malaysia and permission from the Education Ministry is required if parents want to keep their children out of school, which is usually only granted if a child has severe health problems. [...]

Author Chong Wai Leng, who runs a support network blog for parents of home-schoolers called Learning Beyond Schooling, says there is enough anecdotal evidence to suggest that the “unschooling” concept, as she prefers to call it, is growing and not limited to the main cities but smaller towns, such as Port Dickson and even in Kota Baru.

Another indication that home-schooling has more followers since it started in Malaysia more than 20 years ago is that there are more and more new faces, especially young parents of all races, spotted at events organised for home-schooled children.

Chong said there were many reasons parents opted to home-school their children, but one of the more recent factors was disillusionment with the schooling system, which she described as “messed up” and subject to policy flip-flops.

So, now not only Chinese parents are fed up with the UMNO-led government's continuing mess-up of our education system but some Malay parents have as well.

In May 2011 I had written (yet again) on vernacular education in a post titled Being fair (1), in which I agreed with gasp gawd omigosh with Utusan's Awang Selamat, wakakaka, in his article (Malay Mail Online) No ‘1 Malaysia’ without unified school system, Utusan says.

However, in my post I gave my take on why our f*-up education has come to run on three separate tracks in primary education
(National stream, Chinese and Tamil), (extracts as follows):

Because successive UMNO Education Ministers turned the national education system into the lamentable political football it became, and consequentially with its inevitable abysmal standards, the Chinese gave up completely on that system and quietly sought alternative means, leading them to Chinese vernacular education. In pre-Merdeka days and even some years after that, the gold standard in education was English medium schools, not Chinese medium.

Thanks to the selfish actions of successive UMNO Education Ministers pushing Chinese parents into the eager waiting arms of the vernacular educationalists as a result of the country's worsening national education system, they caused the two Cinapek sides to ‘fall in love’ with each other. And the rest is history.

Ironically the Chinese vernacular schools in the late '50s and early '60s were almost driven into extinction by the lack of Chinese support.

That, the diminishing need by the pragmatic Chinese community for vernacular Chinese education and its eventual extinction or at least, near extinction, would undoubtedly have occurred except for the unpleasant fact of successive UMNO Education ministers and wannabe Education ministers turning Malaya/Malaysia's once-famed education system into the shit that Ku Li lamented over yesterday in a FMT article Our education system has failed.

Just for another use of the word 'ironical' wakakaka, I cannot resist reiterating that ironically it had been UMNO Education ministers who ‘saved’ Chinese vernacular education from extinction - do read my letter to Malaysiakini titled Chinese educationists must thank UMNO. Wakakaka.

I concluded that letter to Malaysiakini with the statement “The truth has been out there all this while”, by which I meant today's Chinese Malaysian obsession with Chinese vernacular education had its Genesis not so much in ethnocentric cultural parochialism but more in ensuring good solid educational standards for their children which was screwed up kau kau by those wonders who have been our education ministers.

And now a quote from the USA:

There were only two other Chinese families in this town of 25,000, but to our parents, the determining factor was the quality of the public school system.

- Steven Chu (American physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics)

As if our notorious education per se has not been sufficiently messed up already, we now hear of insidious radical elements amidst our higher education system where poisonous racist indoctrinations have been taking place.

MM Online reports in Idris Jusoh must go, ex-minister says after exposing link to ‘brainwashing’ trainer  (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 18 — Datuk Zaid Ibrahim today urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to remove Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh as the higher education minister, claiming the latter’s alleged link to an education programme trainer with supposedly extremist views was tarnishing the “moderate” image of the federal Cabinet.

The former de facto law minister added that the trainer whose name was given as Mat Taib is known to run neuro-linguistic programmes for university lecturers, vice-chancellors and also teachers but often appeared to hold extremist views on social media.

He questioned if Idris condoned the views of Mat Taib.

“When I suggested that a documentary be filmed to explain the Indira Gandhi issue, and that it can be funded by raising money from the public, he said I should collect money from ‘DAP pigs and those NGOs who are anti-Islam and anti-Malay’,” Zaid wrote in his latest blog entry today, referring to Mat Taib.

“This is the quality of Malays that are roaming our universities. This is the type of Malay who is brainwashing younger Malays into having a dangerously skewed view of the world,” he added.

He said that such individuals would not have the platform to sell their “sick ideas” if it was not for an approval by the minister himself.

“Idris needs to answer for his relationship with Mat Taib. He needs to explain what he expects from the motivational courses that people like Mat Taib give and how our educationists will benefit from them,” he added.

This is frightening!

But when will we the voters stop these UMNO Education ministers from continuing with their rotten work?

Babylonian in Malaysia?

Malay Mail Online - PAS says will dump PKR if ally embraces DAP, Amanah (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 17 ― PAS will not hesitate to sever ties with PKR if it continues to criticise the Islamist party in the same vein as DAP, Ulama council information chief Datuk Khairuddin Aman Razali said.

He said that PAS would not allow PKR to sabotage it in its stronghold such as Kelantan by helping out rival party, Parti Amanah Negara.

“We see in Kelantan, for example, when PKR attends the Ananah programmes, this attacks the PAS dominated areas. This is like sabotaging PAS itself. We cannot be friends with enemies,” Khairuddin said in a Sinar Harian report today.

He added that PAS would never work with traitors and would constantly review their friendship with PKR from time to time.

Khairuddin explained the Islamist party is also ever ready to be a standalone party but is also willing to have political cooperation with NGOs and new parties to ensure their support.

“The PAS principle is that we would not work with traitors. That is clear but since PKR has a dealing with Amanah and DAP, we will see from time to time,” Khairuddin said.

Traitor to PAS = usually an underling or subordinate of PAS, wakakaka!

'Tis the sad tale of the Whore of Babylon
Far too eager to behave sluttishly kang2
Discarding in obscene haste her slip-on
On seeing her sexy budu-satiated Abang

But Abang says polygamy's for men only
& if I continue with my sluttish kang2 way
He is going to say f**k off and abandon me
Can't do without him but slutting's my DNA

Alamak, arn chnua choe ah? Apa nak buat sekarang?

Barbarians have invaded Europe

Europe has had a traumatic history of barbarian invasions from the East, ranging from the Mongols of Changiz Khan to the the Huns of Attila, Alans from Persia, etc.

Today they are been invaded by a new breed of barbarians from the south, to wit, Northern Africa.

The Telegraph reported:

Michelle, one of the female victims of the sex attackers in Cologne, spoke on television of her shock at how the New Year's celebrations party turned into targeted attacks on women

By Justin Huggler in Cologne

7:29PM GMT 06 Jan 2016

One of the victims of the New Year's Eve attacks in Cologne has told how she was surrounded by a gang of 30 “angry” men forcing her group of female friends to huddle together, holding hands for protection.

“They were full of anger, and we had to make sure that none of us were pulled away by them. They were groping us and we were trying to get away as quickly as possible,” said the 18 year-old, who gave her name only as Michelle, describing how she had gone out around 11pm and found the main station full of young men.

As the women fled, the men pressed themselves against them, stealing mobile phones, wallets and other personal possessions from their pockets as they passed.

This was just one incident among more than 100 reported cases; in the most serious assaults some women reportedly had their underwear torn from their bodies.

As reports emerged of a near-total failure by the police to take control, one officer told Bild newspaper how he and his colleagues felt “threatened” by a crowd of some 400-500 young men that swelled out of the city’s the main station, many drinking heavily.

The few police officers on the scene were heavily outnumbered and called for back-up, but by the time reinforcements arrived, the crowd of young men had swelled to around 1,000.

“We were called to the area because of an incident involving an aggressive crowd of some 400 people,” the unnamed police officer said. “When we arrived, we found there were a lot more completely drunk men, possibly on drugs, throwing fireworks into the crowd.

“If you spoke to a suspect, you were immediately surrounded by his friends. That was intimidating.”

From another Telegraph report:

Nearly all of the men involve in Cologne's New Year's Eve sex attacks were migrants, Germany's interior ministry has indicated.

"Based on testimony from witnesses, the report from the Cologne police and descriptions by the federal police, it looks as if people with a migration background were almost exclusively responsible for the criminal acts," Ralf Jaeger, interior minister from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, said on Monday. [...]

Even though no formal charges have been laid, Cologne police have said those suspected over the rampage near the city's railway station were mostly asylum seekers and illegal migrants from North Africa.

There is now great anger and hostility towards those migrants when ironically the Germans have been immensely generous to Middle-eastern and North African migrants, the most generous among European countries, willing to absorb nearly 1 million of these migrants.

Now German Chancellor Angela Merkel is under tremendous pressure for her decision to admit 1 million migrants from those Islamic countries.

The Telegraph continues:

Police said late on Sunday that more than a week on from New Year's Eve, some 516 complaints had now been lodged, including 40 per cent that are related to
sexual assault.

Witnesses described terrifying scenes of hundreds of women running a gauntlet of groping hands, lewd insults and robberies in the mob violence.

The scale of the Cologne assaults has shocked Germany and put a spotlight on the 1.1 million asylum seekers who arrived in the country last year.

Those idiots have abused the hospitality and generosity of their hosts by behaving like barbarians, probably starved of social proximity to women in their own society.

It would seem their religious upbringing haven't instilled in them an iota of decent behaviour and respect for women, hardly surprising when we see some such people in our own Malaysian society. F**king hypocrites!

Probably as a lack of exposure to the opposite gender in their own society they had hard-ons the moment they see women moving freely around. They f**king don't belong to anywhere save their original countries.

Even then, I recall a diplomat friend of mine (a Muslim) who told me he very strictly prohibited his teenage daughter from ever visiting him a particular (very rich) Arabian country. And when taking a taxi with his wife in that country, one of the rules he was advised by Embassy mateys and which he followed diligently was to get himself in a taxi first when boarding, and ensure his wife exited the taxi first when disembarking. The necessary precaution was to ensure that the taxi driver didn't scoot off with the woman alone on board into some unknown place to be raped, murdered or at best abandoned.

He mentioned the local police were never helpful in such cases and probably laughed behind the backs of a reporting victim. Worse, the wife if raped but not murdered, could be arrested and flogged for immoral behaviour as in the case of the Qatif girl in 2007 - for more on the Qatif girl, read my post The Islamization of Malaysia.

If we recall, not too long ago there was an incident in our country where two ladies were groped during a forum with a politician when they were surrounded by only the VIP's people. The lawlessness of some barbarians have been unbelievable.

And if we read The Telegraph news reports, those migrants were also f**king drunk.

F**king drunk? Muslims? Sheeesh!

Kill in God's name

TMI - Isis issued cryptic warning ahead of Jakarta attacks, say police:

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (Isis) issued a cryptic warning before multiple blasts hit the Indonesian capital Jakarta today, killing at least four people, police said.

National police spokesman Anton Charliyan said it was not clear yet which group had carried out what the Indonesian president termed "acts of terror".

But he said Isis issued a cryptic warning before the attacks.

“The warning said there will be a concert in Indonesia and it will be international news,” he told a local radio station.

He did not give any further details, or say when the warning was issued.

Police foiled several terror plots in Indonesia last month, with some believed to be linked to Isis.

Hundreds of Indonesians are feared to have joined the jihadist group, which has taken over vast swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria.

Why is it that the most warlike religions or religions that encourage war and killing through several millenniums of their respective history (since around 1400 BC) have been the Abrahamic religions, the fearsome troika of Judaism, Christianity and Islam?

Judaism was the pioneer warmongering religion:

1 Samuel 15 (KJV)

15 Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord.

2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

Christianity saw wars waged in its name, including the terrible series of crusades, both medieval and modern (the latter under George Bush Jnr), and the genocides in various parts of the world especially in the Americas.

You wouldn't believe it but Christianity almost won its war in China in the late 19th Century, in the Taiping Revolution (1850 - 1864).

The Christian revolutionaries led by Hong Xiuquan, who claimed to be Jesus' younger brother, wakakaka, very nearly succeeded in overthrowing the Manchu government but for the intervention of the English and French who saw it in their national interests to aid the Qing.

If the revolutionaries had won, China would have become a Christian nation in mid-19th Century.

It was one of the most violent wars of all times, where between 30 to 70 million Chinese perished in that Chinese civil war.

While helping the Qing government against the Chinese Christian revolutionaries, the English also took advantage of the Chinese government's dire military situation to attack them in the Second Opium War.

Jesus' younger bother, Hong Xiuquan

By comparison, the American Civil War, which occurred just as the Taiping Revolution was winding down, experienced around 600,000 dead.

WWII with its deadlier arsenal (including two A-bombs) and worldwide occurrence saw 38 to 55 million civilians killed, including 19 to 25 million from war-related disease and famine, while the military suffered around 22 to 25 million, including deaths in captivity of about 5 million POWs.

Thus WWII had a grand total dead of around 60 to 80 million.

The American war in Vietnam from 1965 to 1974 killed a grand total of approximately 1.3 million, where 600 thousands were north and south Vietnamese civilians, 450,000 NVR and Vietcongs, and 280,000 Allied troops (mostly Vietnamese). Of these, we know the Americans had 55,000 dead while the Australians 500.

But thanks to Christianity, 30 to 70 million people perished in the 15-year Chinese Civil War in the mid-19th Century, with several tens of millions displaced.

The war history of Islam equals that of Judaism and Christianity.

Yes, Hinduism has its warmongering myths in both the Ramayana and Mahabharata, but those conflicts were more deeply embedded in unverified myths such as monkeys aiding Rama's military expedition against Lanka. And, was Ravana a Sri Lankan and Rama a northern Indian Aryan? Wakakaka.

Mahabharata

Ramayana

My theory is that the belligerent bloodthirsty bellicosity of the Abrahamic religions might have their origin in (Middle-Eastern) tribalism, first among the Israelites, then among the Arabs, Turks, Persians, etc.

Christianity just apes the territorial truculent tribal nature of Judaism.

Amen!

'Social contract' a politically created fantasy

In the Malaysian Insider, M. Bakri Musa wrote Ungku Aziz and Raja Petra, exemplars of free minds, adapted from his book book, “Liberating The Malay Mind”.

The Renaissance Man from Malaysia

(Royal Professor Ungku Aziz is the genuine article)
(not the one currently in jail, wakakaka)

His daughter Ungku Zeti Akhtar Ungku Abdul Aziz
Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia

Most of us are familiar with the many articles written by Bakri Musa, but for those of you who aren't, the author is a Malaysian expatriate practicing as a surgeon in California. Don't ask me whether he is now an American citizen or still a Malaysian citizen only resident there, though I suspect he must be the former.

Anyway, in this post I'm going to touch only on his narration of Royal Professor Ungku Aziz as I'm sure you are already quite familiar with RPK, wakakaka.

Bakri Musa wrote:

Many know of Ungku Aziz, a man of many firsts. I will not enumerate them because they are not pertinent to my story. To me, he is a man whose insight on rural (and thus Malay) poverty is unmatched. Equally unmatched is our present leaders’ inability or unwillingness to tap his vast expertise. [...]

In his studies Ungku Aziz discovered that the reality was far different. Malays were indeed diligent savers as attested to the ubiquitous bamboo tabongs in Malay homes. We saved for weddings and of course for a trip to Mecca, the aspiration of all Muslims. However, we did not use conventional savings institutions like banks because of our religious prohibitions against ribaa (interest).

It is a tribute to the genius of Ungku Aziz that he not only identified the problem correctly (key towards solving it) but went on to create institutions that would cater to the specific economic needs of Malays. Thus was born Lembaga Tabung Haji, a mutual fund-like financial institution that takes in Malay savings, especially from rural areas, and invests them in halal enterprises (meaning, no casinos or breweries). The returns on such investments were rightly labelled as faedah (dividends) and not bunga (interest), thus satisfying Malay religious sensitivities.

Today Tabung Haji is one of the largest financial institutions in Southeast Asia, a tribute to the brilliance of one man, one whose mind is not trapped by the conventional wisdom and thinking.

I would like to add two more stories of Ungku Aziz to the above (extracted) narration, both perhaps not in the same shade or tone as Bakri Musa has brought out, wakakaka, but mind, one will demonstrate Ungku's innovative thinking while the next will show his social-political courage.

First, let's see his innovative thinking and his love of 'Malay-ness':

It's about the Malay bomoh (a shaman or in more derogative description, a witch doctor, wakakaka).

Consulting bomoh has been an intrinsic part of Malay culture, which I dare say, due to the unique, wakakaka, muhibbah of our society, some Chinese, Indians and a few Eurasians have also done, wakakaka again.

Yes, there are 3 'wonderful' social activities that bind us, Malaysians of all races, closely like bro's and sis'. These are:

(a) sports especially those which gamblers can bet on like football, badminton, basketball, etc (wakakaka),

(b) the mathematically-challenging-and-promoting 4-Ekor, a Malaysian weekly lottery which unfortunately for our pockets (and fortunately for someone who was 'gifted' the 4-Ekor licence, nudge nudge wink wink, wakakaka) occurs more than once a week.

4-Ekor experts like my late mum could tell you within the blinking of an eye how many combinations of a 3-digit lucky dream number, say 123, would work out to be, eg. 123, 132, 321, 231, 213, 312. Hmmm, I best don't go near the permutation for a 4-digit number, wakakaka. Maybe that's how Chinese learn their maths, wakakaka.

At the numerous 4-Ekor shops all over town and even in Chinese villages, one can see mingling multiracial muhibbah and multi-hopeful (wakakaka) crowd on lottery-days, and the magnanimous policemen who would be so tolerant of double and even triple parking outside those 4-Ekor shop, probably courtesy of management's prior arrangements (wakakaka), and

(c) consulting the bomoh (to dapat 4-Ekor lah, wakakaka).

4-Ekor shop

My uncle told me that during the days of PM Tunku, the Vice Chancellor of UM, then our only university, was, I believe, Prof Ungku Aziz who did the unusual when the construction of the university's great hall was completed and to be officially opened with fanfare.

The professor engaged a bomoh (a more dignified one than Raja Bomoh, I was told) to consecrate the great hall, which he did in an open ceremony where there were a number of invited guests including VIPs and foreign dignities, wakakaka.

Ungku Aziz was 'big' on Malay culture and he reckoned a bomoh consecrating the hall would offer the ceremony a nice touch of Malay traditional culture, wakakaka.

The bomoh hired for the occasion, with his complete set of occult paraphernalia, gave the ceremony the full nine yards including burning incense such as kemenyan (gum benzion) and sprinkling scented holy water, imploring the spirits of Earth's four corners and the dewa's and dewi's of every known description to bless the hall and the university students.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had turned Hindu, Catholic and Orthodox Church's' priests green with envy, wakakaka.

A few Malays grumbled but most smiled at his Malay-ness or cultural eccentricity. The unique ceremony was reported in most of the mainstream newspapers, and that's how my Unc came to know about it.

Today I doubt any Malaysian university VC would have the balls to do such a thing, that is, acknowledging the village bomoh as a quintessential part of Malay traditional culture, wakakaka. But the bomoh is definitely more Malay than a camel, even one which a hubby could enjoy sex with wifey on its back, wakakaka.

Oh, by the by, I wonder what happened to Raja Bomoh who we are told would be investigated for un-Islamic activities by Jakim or one of the other JA-organization?

Hmmm, maybe they're too scared of him to pursue that investigation, for fear he might have one of his occult jampi-ed bamboo apparatus up their @$$e$? Wakakaka.

OK, next we'll examine how Ungku Aziz demonstrated his bold social-political courage on a so-called 'sensitive' issue, to wit, our notorious 'social contract'.

Only and only in Malaysia does this term connote various meanings for different sets of people.

To UMNO-putras and their supporters, it’s their mantra of the inviolability of Ketuanan Melayu, their passport to guaranteed power, position and personal prosperity via the never-ending Malay ‘special rights’, something apparently carved out in bold print on the 'steel plate' of their mentality and totally unerasable, though in the Malaysian Constitution there is no mention of 'special rights'.

Rather, Article 153 of the Constitution grants the Agong responsibility for 'safeguarding the special position of the Malays'.

To other Malays in general, 'social contract' is something, whatever it is, which requires them to keep a beady eye on those sneaky Chinese, who would undoubtedly try to undermine and do away with it – oh, trust or don't trust those greedy ungrateful Chinese, wakakaka.

But to the non-Malays, it’s the typical UMNO self-serving bullsh*t that constantly reminds the 'nons' of their second class citizen status, and that they are (2nd class) citizens of Malaysia only by the generosity and tolerance of the Malays.

And as quid pro quo for their (2nd class) citizenship, the 'nons' must behave kuai kuai and never ever question Malay ‘special rights’.

Indeed, in 2008 the then crown regent of Kelantan at a forum organized by Barisan Bertindak Perpaduan Melayu, a group of very conservative Malay NGOs, reminded us precisely just that, where in one fell swoop he categorised and separated his (future) subjects into the master race and ‘nons’ – for more, read Kelantan Crown Prince 'slapped' non-Malays in face!

Yes sir, Tengku Faris Petra (then crown prince, now sultan)
told Malaysians of Chinese, Indians, Eurasian, Thai and others of non-Malay ancestries that there [was] to be no ‘equality’ for them vis-à-vis Malays.

He had then stated: “... the rakyat must unite and never raise issues regarding Malay rights and special privileges because it is a quid pro quo in gratitude for the giving in of citizenship (beri-paksa kerakyatan) to 2.7 million non-Malays into the Tanah Melayu federation."

“Thus, it is not appropriate for these other ethnic groups to have citizenship, only (later) to seek equality and privileges.”

But Malaysiakini subsequently reported what we knew all along but couldn't/wouldn't openly say without being threatened with the usual keris, tebuans and the threat of another May 13.

Without going into history, the Reid Commission, the Constitution, its Article 153, NEP, NDP etc etc etc, let's focussed on what Malaysiakini had then reported, to wit, that Royal Professor Dr Ungku Abdul Aziz made a statement declaring there was no such thing as a social contract between Malaysia's diverse ethnic communities.

Thus he put paid (at least academically and intellectually) to the Ketuanan Melayu Goebbels-like propaganda, in truth an insidious Apartheid-like racist discriminatory policy of political, economic, social, cultural and religious dominance.

Professor Ungku Aziz said that the social contract was "a fantasy created by politicians of all sorts of colours depending on their interest."

Well, it has been for some a most profitable fantasy, while for the other side, a frustrating one - but it's a fantasy that has been vigorously implemented, realized, enjoyed and fiercely defended, though it has to be said that more than a few non-UMNO Malays and non-Malay bumiputeras have yet to benefit from it.

He believed whatever contract there was, it was more of an ‘economic contract’, what most countries would call 'affirmative action', in areas of education and health for groups that needed it the most.

Wakakaka, of course Mahathir disagreed with the Royal Professor but conceded that there weren't anything written down in black and white. He averred that the so-called social contract was an [unwritten] 'understanding' among founders of Tunku Abdul Rahman’s Alliance or Perikatan government. How convenient!

A certain UKM professor who obviously didn't agree with the Royal Professor was reported to have made a sad shameless snide remark, stating “I don’t know what he [Ungku Aziz] reads aside from economic books”.

But that's the courage of Royal Professor Ungku Aziz in speaking out the truth on a matter very dear and even sacred to the hearts of UMNO people like Mahathir and the UKM professor.
