Probe Perak PAS chief for racist remarks, DAP Youth urges authorities

DAP Youth chief Dr Kelvin Yii has urged the authorities to investigate Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria for allegedly uttering racially charged remarks.

In a statement today, Yii condemned the Gunung Semanggol assemblyperson for resorting to racially charged rhetoric to incite hatred among Malaysia’s diverse communities.

“We (DAP Youth) will lodge a police report against him (Razman) and I urged the authorities to investigate it without fear or favour.

“Once proven, he should experience the full force of the law for instigating hate and clearly, touching on 3R matter,” he added.

Yii’s comments followed Razman's appearance in a video at Teluk Intan's Menara Condong gathering yesterday, in which, he criticised the government for allegedly failing to defend the nation’s sovereignty and called for unity - based on shared physical characteristics.

He was seen appealing to those with the same eyes, skin and blood like him to unite.

The rally of over 300 people waving the Malaysian flag was reportedly held in response to the waving of the Chinese flag at the same location on Thursday during the Guan Gong cultural festival.

The festival organiser, the Guan Gong Cultural Association, later apologised and clarified that the individuals filmed waving the flag were Chinese nationals.

Insulting and instigating hate

Yii further argued that Razman's actions demonstrate PAS' unsuitability to govern a multiracial, multireligious nation like Malaysia.

“Before this, Razman even tried to paint the Chinese community in Malaysia as unpatriotic over the incident.

“Such a statement is just an insult to our community but a clear form of hate speech to further divide and instigate hate among races,” he lamented.

Concluding his remark, Yii emphasised that Malaysia’s strength lies in its diversity and multiculturalism.

“That is why I urged all Malaysians to reject such extreme politics and seek peace and understanding among all races, as we all have a part to play in rebuilding our beloved nation,” he stressed.

PAS is "theoretically" a religious political party, so it claims. But sadly and to my great disappointment it has lately played the racist card, a no-no for an Islamic Party which would have seen Malaysians through Islamic eyes rather than racist ones. Call the nons as 'dhimmis' if they like, but to disgustingly allude to racist lingo such as 'mata sepet', skin colour and ethnic blood-type is really an insult, not so much to the nons but to Islam the religion.

That racist MFer should re-sunat-ise himself before pretending again to be a Muslim.
