Quo Vadis DAP?

FMT - Muhyiddin to seek opposition consensus (extracts):

trust me, I'm was a doctor
and my son is a good boy

PETALING JAYA: Former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin will lead efforts to build a consensus among all opposition parties for a new challenge to the Barisan Nasional.

He said today that the formation of a new political movement, announced by Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Thursday, could only be effective if it was agreed in consensus by other opposition parties.“For that, I will resume talks with other relevant quarters,” he said in a press statement today.

Dr Mahathir’s announcement came after more than a year of efforts that he has spearheaded to oust Najib Razak from office as Umno president and prime minister.

Muhyiddin who has now gained the reputation as an Umno rebel echoed similar sentiments from other leaders such as former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali, urging other opposition parties to return and negotiate among each other to form a new pact for the next General Election.

Does anyone truly believe that Mahathir forms a new party to defeat and to get rid of UMNO? Does anyone believe he is doing it for Malaysia and Malaysians?

If you do then you must still be reading Hans Andersen Christian's books. Pakatan people must wake up and stop expecting 50 sens coins beneath their pillows in exchange for their extracted decayed teeth.

Mukhriz is not ugly
he'll grow up into a beautiful political swan

like his dad, wakakaka

Still let's examine above FMT news. Pompously, Muhyiddin has accorded himself some kind of leadership role in the proposed political opposition, perhaps even as coalition president. Do Pakatan members really want a man like "I am a Malay first" Muhyiddin to be with them.

Do Pakatan members still believe in their struggle for a better Malaysia? If you do, can you trust Mahathir and Muhyiddin to lead you towards that?

are you still fighting for these?
or for just the PM's post to give to 'someone'?

Despite the above news report that PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man is also keen to form a united opposition against Najib, I believe that PAS president Pak Haji Hadi, having realized his erstwhile dreams of riding on Chinese support to a 60+ federal seats victory is now kaput, being kaput-ized by his own too-eager and thus premature announcement of his hudud-aspirations, has accepted and prepared a more achievable and also more beneficial role for PAS in 2018, that of a spoiler in triangular contests in relevant electorates in covert support of UMNO candidates.

7,222 American soldiers died in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars started by the Bush Administration

Yes, Pak Haji Hadi and Najib might possibly have done a sub-rosa deal for 2018, one in which Najib has devolved 3rd party demolition tasks to PAS. I actually dread whatever political-legislative quid pro quos both of them might have kowtim-rized a la 'bisa diatur'.

I've to say I'm somewhat disappointed with Anwar Ibrahim for shamelessly supporting Mahathir, but my greatest disappointment is reserved for Lim Kit Siang - nope, I don't want to say much about this as I'm near speechless at his recent politically-nyanyuk antics. He seems to have lost his once-statesman-like political stand and policies.

"O daughters of Israel, weep over SaulKit, Who clothed you luxuriously in scarlet, Who put ornaments of gold on your apparel. How have the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan Guan Eng isoon to be slain on your high places. [2 Samuel 1:24-25]

Contrariwise, I understand perfectly why Azmin Ali is supporting his 'Uncle'. He has intimate close relationship with Mahathir and I believe Mahathir might have politically betrothed him with Mukhriz as the pair to contest against Najib and Zahid. Thus he'll politically untung if 'Uncle' succeeds, unlike the DAP.

my 'nephew', he's like his 'cousin', a good boy
both will make a good leadership team

Under LKS's direction, sadly the DAP will play only a 2nd-class supporting role in the new coalition. I would not be surprised at all to see TP assuming TC's role as the new coalition court jester.

Quo vadis Kit?

  1. Why the fuck Muhyiddin? Just because he is sacked from Umno,he is useful to the opposition pact?He is not known as the "shakedown king" of Johore for nothing, right?

Dr Mahathir likes to say "Malays have poor memories".In this case, the forgetful Malays means the "fuckup opposition" having lost or bad memory of the "Stanford Holdings" shakedown by Mr Moo.

  2. The opposition,DAP and PKR in particular, have become political eunuchs. They are grasping at the last straws(weeds),before finally sinking down deep into the pond(waterloo).Waterloo is GE14.

  3. Instead of excoriating Lim Kit Siang and DAP, what is your positive suggestion for them to move ahead ?

  4. Not sure whether you have watched the actual 1951 movie "Quo Vadis", but it was quite a piece of Christian propaganda.

The movie's ending has radiant light which intones, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."....

BTW, as far as the war in Afghanistan goes, I don't think a different President could have avoided the invasion. Once the US intelligence agencies confirmed 9/11 was planned by Al-Qaeda, and Taliban Afghanistan was still bent on sheltering Osama bin Laden, the rest was practically inevitable. No US President could realistically negotiate a different outcome, though a different President may have prosecuted the Afghan war in a different manner.

Iraq, was of course a different matter, something which Bush and the NeoCons started by themselves.
