Loke publishes cryptic Facebook post after Ong quits DAP
The DAP secretary-general posts a Malay proverb describing situations in which one is cast aside after being used by another.

Loke posted the proverb “Habis madu, sepah dibuang”, which typically describes situations in which one is cast aside after being used by another.
His post quickly drew responses from netizens, with many asking if this was a dig aimed at Ong.
Ong announced his resignation from DAP today after about 14 years with the party.

He said he does not plan to join another party or contest in the next general election, although he will help former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin campaign in GE16.
Ong served as Serdang MP from 2013 to 2018 and then Bangi MP from 2018 to 2022. He was also deputy international trade and industry minister from 2018 to 2020.
While formerly a member of the DAP central executive committee, he failed to defend his place in the top leadership during the party elections in 2022.
He did not seek re-election to the DAP leadership in the 2025 party election.
