WASHINGTON, Sept 30 — US Vice President JD Vance said today that the federal government was “headed to a shutdown” in less than 36 hours, blaming congressional Democrats for placing conditions on support for a short-term budget bill.
“I think we’re headed to a shutdown because the Democrats won’t do the right thing. I hope they change their mind, but we’re going to see,” Vance told reporters after a meeting of top congressional Democrats and Republicans with President Donald Trump at the White House. — AFP

A left-wing group called Indivisible, backed by millions from the Soros family, is telling Democrats to block a deal and force a partial government shutdown.
They're mad some Senate Democrats might work with Republicans and Trump, so they made a website to pressure them with phone calls and scripts.
Indivisible wants Democrats to reject any deal unless it includes their progressive wish list, and they’ve even told Sen. Schumer to “fight like hell” or step down.
The White House says if Dems listen to the group, they’ll be blamed for shutting down the government and putting benefits and public services at risk.
Trump and top leaders are set to meet just one day before the shutdown deadline to try to fix the mess.

I believe he was leveraged as soon as Trump took office again.
I can’t remember what the issue was but, Schumer was against it, Trump met with Schumer and then all of the sudden Schumer seemed “submitted” to Trump.
This was days after Trump took office.
Personally, I believe they’ve all submitted to Trump and are just playing out their part.
