Re-election in three PKR divisions, says Zaliha

The PKR elections committee has confirmed re-election will be held at three party divisions - Selayang, Jempol, and Silam - ahead of the National Congress next month.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa, who is also PKR elections committee chief, said the re-election will only affect a “small part” of the divisions.

“I will issue a notice on that later - an internal notice to the branches,” she told reporters when met after a Federal Territories Hari Raya function in Putrajaya today.

Asked to confirm online portal Malaysia Gazette’s report quoting sources who speculated re-elections in the three divisions, Zaliha said, “Yes, but only at certain levels.”

The recently concluded division-level polls involve the election for the main division leaders, as well as the division’s Youth and Women’s wings, for the term 2025-2028.
