‼️Current. Today's speech by President Putin

VLADIMIR VLADIMIROVIČ PUTIN OFFICIALLY WARNED THE WEST WHAT WAR WITH RUSSIA WILL COST IT

Dear colleagues, media, journalists and guests.
Today, again, the European Union and NATO member states are calling for a "war against Russia". This story is repeating itself. Again! The views of our colleagues from Europe and NATO on Russia never change, they are always ready to destroy Russia, everything Russian, ready to occupy Russia. Hatred against Russia has always remained in the veins of some of our colleagues and countries ruling the EU and NATO.

Dear colleagues, today we hear again that Russia is an aggressor, and the truth is that Russia has never been an aggressor, and has always defended itself throughout history, even the world, no matter how unappreciated it may have been. That's a fact!

Dear colleagues from Europe and NATO, Russia never starts a war, Russia always stops wars, you start wars and the goal is always to destroy Russia. Russia has never threatened countries, it has never threatened the security of the world, but we like to say, "the snake bites the most when it dies."
You created fascism, always everywhere and in Ukraine too, wars are your business, and Russia will always defend its country and its people. No matter what it costs, no matter how many losses we suffer, we have always defended our country and our people, we will always continue to do so.
And today you are again shouting: "Victory over Russia."

Dear colleagues, I assure you that Russia will not fall, it can be attacked, but never destroyed. If NATO and EU countries declare war on Russia, then everyone must know that our reaction will be lightning fast, and if we feel a serious threat to our country, our reaction will be destructive.
Today, Russia has the most diverse weapons in its history, I emphasize. (I add: you have no idea what they are!)

You have not seen anything of Russia's real capabilities in Ukraine, because Ukraine, many areas on Ukraine has our historical lands, and Ukraine has Russians, and we are saving them. This is not a real war, but a military operation. On the other hand, elsewhere in Europe it will not be like in Ukraine, that is what you need to know.

As for whether we are ready to negotiate for peace, we have always been ready to negotiate, but no one wanted to negotiate with us. Of course, Russia has no friends among NATO and European leaders, because Russia is a strong, huge country, and that is exactly what NATO and European leaders do not want.
But accept it!

No matter how much you repeat that one day Russia will be defeated.. I believe in God and God is with us. The world may end sooner, but Russia will not fall. We do not need a world without Russia. We are Libras of the world and that is exactly my zodiac sign.

Unlike you, I know very well what a country and people are, and therefore I will always fight for my country and people. Are you ready to accept it as you wish, are you ready to start a war against Russia again? But we are ready too. And a war against Russia today would be an absolute apocalypse.

I advise our colleagues from Europe and NATO to work for the good of the world, not for the destruction of the world.
Thank you!

Vladimir Putin warns West of risk of nuclear war, says Moscow can strike Western targets

President Vladimir Putin has told Western countries they risked provoking a nuclear war if they sent troops to fight in Ukraine, warning that Moscow had the weapons to strike targets in the West.

The war in Ukraine has triggered the worst crisis in Moscow's relations with the West since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

Mr Putin has previously spoken of the dangers of a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia, but his nuclear warning on Thursday was one of his most explicit.

Addressing politicians and other members of the country's elite, Mr Putin, 71, repeated his accusation that the West was bent on weakening Russia, and he suggested Western leaders did not understand how dangerous their meddling could be in what he cast as Russia's own internal affairs.

He prefaced his nuclear warning with a specific reference to an idea, floated by French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, of European NATO members sending ground troops to Ukraine — a suggestion that was quickly rejected by the United States, Germany, Britain and others.

"(Western nations) must realise that we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory." Mr Putin said.

"All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilisation. Don't they get that?!"

Speaking ahead of a March 15-17 presidential election when he is certain to be re-elected for another six-year term, he lauded what he said was Russia's vastly modernised nuclear arsenal, the largest in the world.

"Strategic nuclear forces are in a state of full readiness," he said, noting that new-generation hypersonic nuclear weapons he first spoke about in 2018 had either been deployed or were at a stage where development and testing were being completed.

Visibly angry, the Russian president suggested Western politicians recall the fate of those like Nazi Germany's Adolf Hitler and France's Napoleon Bonaparte who had unsuccessfully invaded Russia in the past.

"But now the consequences will be far more tragic," Mr Putin said.

"They think it [war] is a cartoon," he said, accusing Western politicians of forgetting what real war meant because they had not faced the same security challenges as Russians had in the last three decades.

More Russian troops on western borders

Russian forces now had the initiative on the battlefield in Ukraine and were advancing in several places, Mr Putin said.

Russia must also boost the troops it has deployed along its western borders with the European Union after Finland and Sweden decided to join the NATO military alliance, he added.

The veteran Kremlin leader dismissed Western suggestions that Russian forces might go beyond Ukraine and attack European countries as "nonsense".

He also said Moscow would not repeat the mistake of the Soviet Union and allow the West to "drag" it into an arms race that would eat up too much of its budget.

"Therefore, our task is to develop the defence-industrial complex in such a way as to increase the scientific, technological and industrial potential of the country," he said.

Mr Putin said Moscow was open to discussions on nuclear strategic stability with the United States but suggested that Washington had no genuine interest in such talks and was more focused on making false claims about Moscow's alleged aims.

"Recently there have been more and more unsubstantiated accusations against Russia, for example that we are allegedly going to deploy nuclear weapons in space. Such innuendo… is a ploy to draw us into negotiations on their terms, which are favourable only to the United States," he said.

"…On the eve of the US presidential election, they simply want to show their citizens and everyone else that they still rule the world."
