Guan Eng tells concerned supporters to unite under Loke, make DAP stronger
Salvage Malaysia: DAP's newly minted adviser Lim Guan Eng should take this phase of waning popularity to revamp himself. We are not wrong when we comment that Lim is too arrogant.
Pride is one of the biggest sins in the Bible. Go back to humility and use this opportunity to be more vocal on things not right in this Madani government now that he doesn’t hold any influential position in DAP.
Guan Eng may just re-emerge as a more likeable yet firm and principled politician and bounce back. This may be a blessing in disguise for him to seriously reflect upon himself. It is not the end of the road yet.
Apanama is back: Guan Eng is supposed to refuse and reject the adviser role since he should have read the writing on the wall.
Guan Eng, in Sunday's election, you were in 26th place in the 30-member central executive committee election (CEC). Even if you were in the 30th place, this adviser post will be offered or given to you.
My question is, with the way DAP delegates had “kicked” you down 18 places, do you think they will listen to your so-called advice? If I were you, I would gracefully retire from politics while my honour is still intact.
Guan Eng, no one is going to listen to your advice in DAP. Not even Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who won above you.
The delegates have sent a clear message to you that they indeed rejected you and your sister, Lim Hui Ying. They do not want the Lims anymore in DAP. It is game over for the Lim family in DAP.
If you were in 31st place and your sister in 32nd place, what would happen? You were almost kicked out of the DAP CEC. It is all a numbers game. Get the message and retire. The more you stay put, your reputation is at stake.
Guan Eng, you are not your father, former DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang. He knows how to talk and still earn respect. Of course, your supporters will not agree with your retirement but you should know when to let go and the time is now!
Letdown Since 2018: Advice from someone who still cannot settle or overcome his corruption court case? Seriously this must be sarcasm.
Time just does not stop for anyone. It just moves on. Overstaying one's welcome is disrespecting oneself. Nothing lasts forever. One must know when to let go with one's head held high or linger on to be scorned and hated.
TC: When Umno rallied to free Bossku (jailed former PM Najib Abdul Razak), only you objected but DAP leader Anthony Loke and gang kept quiet.
Umno president and Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi already gave you a warning, that your time is over but you are naive to believe in your comrades.
Telling Zahid that your future depended on DAP delegates is correct but maybe Zahid and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had already made a deal with Loke and DAP leader Nga Kor Ming? That is why Zahid dared to openly rebuke you without any protest from Loke.
In spite of knowing the DAP veterans team of Tan Kok Wai, Fong Kui Lun and M Kulasegaran being systematically told to back out or face a wipe out , you stood your ground to fight.
Your time is already over because the younger non-Malay generation have no interest in politics. As Loke said, they (DAP) are not politicians but nation builders taking a high ground.
A parting advice to national chairperson Gobind Singh Deo. The huge votes given to you by the delegates comprised genuine supporters but mainly it is the 'cai dan' (voting list) manufactured by Loke and gang.
You cannot lose heavily at last year's Selangor state but now win handsomely. Isn't it obvious? Will you give up the ideals of the late Karpal Singh DAP and comply with a Loke-Nga DAP?
Ipoh PP: Guan Eng, just wash your hands and walk away. You sacrificed so much for the party by going behind bars for speaking the truth.
This younger generation has shown no gratitude. Time to spend time on yourself and your family.
Decline the post of "adviser". It was given to save face. Your years of sweat, blood and tears have not been appreciated. Just walk off and don't look back.
BlueGecko7216: Guan Eng is biding his time. He is not finished and will make a comeback. He will have plenty of opportunities given that non-Malays would continue to be bullied by the ketuanan (supremacy) policies.
Fair Play: A political party, no matter how strong, influential and cohesive, would start to break right at the seam when camps or groups start to form within its central structure.
Guan Eng saw it coming when the Loke-Nga block surfaced. And sooner rather than later, the Loke-Nga camp will face their Waterloo too.
Some might call it renewal. But there is no such thing as renewal in politics.
