Khalid Ibrahim passing: PAS, DAP and PKR need not pretend

Late night message received informed of the passing of Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
In his Facebook, the Admin informed he died at 11:08 PM at the Hospital Cardiac Vascular Sentral. When picture of him looking thin and frill first circulated on social media, someone close to him informed he has been on dialysis for few years.
The former PNB CEO turned politician was given the honour as former MB of Selangor to have his remain buried at the Royal Mausoleum of Selangor today.
Though he was representing an opposing party and must admit this blog had picked on him during his tenure as MB, he proves not a corrupt politician and was prudent in spending rakyat money. He accumulated reserve only to be spend at will by his successors.
This blog attest to his honesty in the Ijok land scandal.
Khalid intervened on the Ijok settlers’ land impasse by acquiring back the land from imprisoned developers with intention to return it back to the settlers. However, he was removed and Azmin proceed to sell it to Ecoworld.
The settlers got new homes but they could have received more for the real value of the land. God knows who took opportunity in the disparity in the land value.
Other than Azmin, former MACC Chief Commissioner, Latheefa Koya was one of the lawyer involved. Others are Lawyers or Liberty activists – N Surendran, and Eric Paulsen and Sivarasah Rasiah.
UMNO politicians involved to help but it was not whole heartedly done. Remembered one has the locus standi to take it all the way but turned out to be a coward glory seeker. Apparently there could be higher hands involved.
All the issues this blog exposed as linked to Khalid was later found to benefit other PKR leaders. A good man he was but PKR do not want good people. They look up to tarnished character and reputed liars such as Anwar or now Rafizi.
This tribute of Khalid in Malay received on WA group depicted him well:

BEKAS Menteri Besar Selangor, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim menghembuskan nafasnya yang terakhir semalam dalam usia 76 tahun.
Saya hanya ingin mengenali beliau sebagai salah seorang anak Melayu terpintar dalam dunia ekonomi dan koporat yang pernah kita ada.
Selain Allahyarham Tan Sri Salleh Majid, arwah Khalid diakui antara teknorat yang cukup hebat dalam permainan ringgit dan angka.
Anak kampung lulusan MBA dari University of Queensland, Australia itu, sewaktu menjadi Menteri Besar Selangor, juga telah berjaya mengumpulkan rizab negeri tersebut sebanyak RM3 bilion!
Malang sekali, hanya kerana enggan tunduk dengan permintaan untuk menggunakan wang kerajaan bagi tujuan politik, Khalid diasak dengan pelbagai kecaman dan fitnah hingga menyebabkan beliau tersingkir daripada kerusinya itu.
“Saya bertuah kerana tidak perlukan politik untuk kepentingan peribadi,” katanya ketika itu.
Kenyataan itu memang ada kebenarannya kerana Khalid sudah kaya raya lama sebelum menyertai politik lagi.
Resumenya dalam bidang korporat memang sangat luar biasa pencapaiannya.
Mana mungkin kita lupa, sewaktu usianya baru mencecah awal 30-an, Khalid adalah antara ‘arkitek’ utama peristiwa ‘Serangan Subuh Guthrie’ pada 1981 yang menyebabkan syarikat perladangan gergasi Guthrie dimiliki Britain JATUH ke tangan Malaysia selepas sahamnya dibeli sebaik sahaja Bursa Saham London memulakan dagangan paginya.
Kepintaran Khalid mengendalikan ‘serangan korporat’ ini berlaku lebih kurang 3 hingga 4 jam bermula pada pagi 7 September 1981.
Seperti yang tercatat di portal The Patriot, selang beberapa hari kemudian, syarikat-syarikat British seperti M&G, The Anderson dan lain-lain terpaksa akur dengan menjual semua pegangan mereka kepada PNB. Akhirnya PNB berjaya memiliki Guthrie Corporation secara penuh.
Segala aktiviti perladangan seperti minyak sawit yang dijalankan oleh Guthrie Corporation yang sebelum ini dimiliki oleh syarikat-syarikat British akhirnya berjaya dibawa pulang dan berada dalam genggaman orang Malaysia!
Khalid memilih politik bagi untuk menaburkan khidmat baktinya pada masyarakat walaupun sektor korporat akan lebih mengkayakan dirinya, malangnya politik juga akhirnya membunuh karier anak jati dari sebuah kampung di Jeram, Selangor itu.
Di atas jasa-jasanya pada negeri dan negara, Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj menitah dan memperkenankan jenazah Khalid disemadikan di Makam Di Raja Shah Alam hari ini.
Harimau mati meninggalkan belang, manusia mati meninggalkan nama.

Condolence wishes and tribute poured in from his former political comrades in Pakatan Rakyat. It is somewhat hypocritical when they all played him out.
Planned by Rafizi Ramli, PKR ousted him to make way for Anwar. When it failed, Wan Azizah, who ran and won the Kajang by-election was to be MB instead, but was put aside for Azmin. DAP was comfortable with Wan.
PAS was initially defensive of Khalid, but changed their position. They flip flop in their position of opposing a woman as MB to agreeable, but Takiyuddin pulled a fast one to announce supporting Azmin without Central Committee decision.
Hadi just went along. The same modus operandi PAS initiated a pullout from MN by Takiyuddin announced joining PN. It is Hadi’s way to override PAS’s Central Committee and Majlis Syura using the excuse to not lose face.
Lim Sian See was angered with Rafizi’s hypocrasy and wrote below this morning:
It is sad to hear news of TS Khalid Ibrahim’s death. He was a great man of great integrity right up to the end.
But it is even more SICKENING to hear all those condolences statements from DAP and PKR politicians – especially those calling him “rakan seperjuangan”.
Have you not forgotten that TS Khalid was a victim of your lies and power-grab?
Do you not remember that you went all out to attack Khalid in your desire to make Anwar (and later Wan Azizah) as MB Selangor in your Langkah Kajang fiasco?
Did you all forgot that you all went on the ceramah circuit to slander TS Khalid and accusing him of all sorts of corruptions related to land sales, water deals and also his Bank Islam loan settlement?
Don’t you remember that you sacked TS Khalid from PKR when he refused to give way?
And then you all got sued for defamation and then had to issue a full and unreserved apology in court to TS Khalid as a settlement?
And did you remember the Sotong King boy Lapiji then tried to spin and said that TS Khalid tarik balik his suit which led to TS Khalid issuing a statement in reponse saying that it was a settlement and not “tarik balik”?
And don’t you remember Sotong King boy then tried to lie that both sides apologised when PKR issued a full and unreserved apology which then led to TS Khalid issuing a statement saying he accepted and then just wished Maaf, Zahir dan Batin in the spirit of Raya then?
How is PKR’s full and unreserved apology in court for their lies and a “Maaf, Zahir dan Batin” reply equal to “kedua-dua minta maaf”?
I hope you all had a chance to seek forgiveness from TS Khalid before his demise. If not, then you all will get your chance to burn in hell.
