Questions about sanity, integrity and reliability of DAP's inner coterie

Dr M faction within DAP undermining Anwar, Boo tells “dismissive” Kit Siang

IN an open letter to DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang, Johor DAP state committee member Dr Boo Cheng Hau stressed that there are Pakatan Harapan leaders, including within DAP, who wish to see Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad leading the coalition and become prime minister again.

“With all due respect, no, Sir, I did not concoct any story about a small quarter in the party who still wants Mahathir to become Pakatan’s prime ministerial candidate,” he said.

Two days ago, Lim dismissed claims by Boo who claimed that there are DAP leaders who are still open to working with Mahathir and make him the premier again, despite Pakatan pledging support to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“I have become an octogenarian. Mahathir is older – he just celebrated his 96th birthday. I do not see him becoming prime minister a third time.

“I don’t think Boo is doing a service to DAP or to himself by concocting such baseless stories,” Free Malaysia Today reported the Iskandar Puteri MP as saying.

He was responding to a report quoting Boo as saying there were people in DAP calling for Anwar to step down as Opposition Leader and were cosying up to Mahathir to get back in power.

Touching on the matter, Boo said several virtual meetings have been held between MPs, former ministers and grassroots leaders, in an attempt to mobilise efforts to abandon Anwar for Mahathir.

He added that the comments made went against Pakatan presidential council’s decision to back Anwar as prime ministerial candidate, alleging many criticised the PKR president without basis.

“As a result, our grassroots are confused about what’s happening and who will be leading us in the next general election.

PKR needs our support, not treachery

“In fact, at one meeting, I even raised my voice and condemned an ex-minister for promoting and praising Mahathir, conveniently forgetting that the Pakatan administration collapsed because of the latter,” the former lawmaker mentioned.

With that said, Boo reminded Lim that the happenings do not bode well for the party or the country, where the leaders have promised Malaysians good governance and reforms.

“In my humble opinion, PKR have been the longest surviving Malay-Muslim majority and yet multicultural party, and have also been DAP and Parti Amanah Negara’s longest faithful brothers-in-arm.

“And we must stand by them in these difficult times, especially when there has been an orchestrated and systemic effort to undermine PKR by several quarters,” he remarked. – Dec 14, 2021.

  1. Wakakakakaka…

Mmmm… wondering whether this act of raging wife charging out fro freezing hell could resuscitate his failed political career?

Mmmm… he couldn't do one liken that ronnie's assimilation fart. Otherwise, his current story would be so contradictory that one would think he is really high on substance abuse.
