KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 — Malaysian celebrity chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail lashed out at Datuk Seri Najib Razak today after the former prime minister suggested he should retract his criticism of Felda settlers yesterday.

The celebrity chef commonly called Chef Wan also told Najib to mind his own business and “stop barking like a mad dog.”

Yesterday, from NST:

KUALA LUMPUR: Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today defended Felda settlers who were branded “lazy” and “breeding like cats” by celebrity chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, popularly known as Chef Wan.

Azmin said the latter’s view of the settlers was a personal one.

He said he believed that Felda settlers had a bright future and potential if they continued to support the government’s initiatives.

“Never mind, it was his (Chef Wan’s) personal view. What is important right now is as the government, we have tabled a new policy in Parliament for Felda settlers.

  1. Wakakakakaka

He may be only a Chef, a well known one in the culinary world, but he also sure damn knew what really ails FELDA better than the Minister of Economy or Ahjibkor.

    1. I think he is not a polite person.

BTW I had iftar with friends at De.Wan 1958 at Jalan Ampang, last Ramadan. From now, I don't think I will ever patronise De.Wan 1958. All the best Chef.

  3. It is strange that Jibby would pick a fight with a Tukang Masak.

    I smell a rat.

Jibby's SRC trial has entered a critical phase. Over the last couple of weeks we heard of immense pressure on KWAP, SRC, MoF and PMO officials to push through quickly the 4 Billion loan from KWAP to SRC. KWAP officers didn't want to approve the loan application because SRC had zero track record investing these huge sums of money. Government pensioners money is at stake. One page justifications were pushed through. No choice. "PMs company" they said.

Then today we head that Jibby signed the memo (it was only a DRAFT, not even on letterhead) at the airport on his way overseas to transfer SRC ownership from 1MDB to MoF with him as Finance Minister the Emeritus Advisor. He then had ultimate control of SRC, and the 4B, via the mysterious Nik Faisal. Why the rush to transfer ownership? Well, there were 4 billion reasons.

"If Jho Low can have billions why not me?"

Not surprising we were told that the ENTIRE SRC Board of Directors were so nervous about this loan that flew to Lugano Switzerland to confirm the money was still there. Why were billions of pensioners money transferred to an small unknown Swiss bank....BSI under the instruction of the Emeritus Advisor?

I think Jibby is casting a distraction by fanning this "handbags" fight with Chef Wan, and this blog is distributing this distraction.

    I'm not falling for it.

  4. Forget Chef Wan, this masak-masak argument is a devious distraction.

We have been focussing on the 42 million that flowed from SRC to Jibby's personal account. Instead we should be focussing on the 4 Billion that was wired to SRC's account in BSI bank Switzerland. Jibby as the FM, PM and Emeritus Advisor was effectively in total control of SRC.

I believe if we find Nik Faisal (alive) we will know the truth.

    1. The memo to transfer the ownership of SRC from 1MDB to MoF, effectively putting Jibby in charge of 4B was signed on the bonnet of a car at the Subang airport. With one simple signature....boom....4 billion.

This heist was even easier than Jho Low’s elaborate heists. No wonder Jibby is trying very hard to distract everyone by picking this fight with Chef Wan. Don’t be suckers folks...

  5. I am very angry too at the Master of the Minus Touch who turned a 40-years success story into a disaster.

Of course, for Ah Mok, anyone who criticises his paymaster is Biadap.
