Najib's dosa or Mahathir's fitnah?

Malaysiakini - Najib: I will bear the sin if 1MDB haj money was stolen:

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak says he will bear a “great sin” if 1MDB funds used to sponsor haj pilgrimages were not clean.

He said this in rebutting allegations by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad that the 1MDB pilgrimage funds were from stolen monies.

"Mahathir is mistaken to claim that money 1MDB used to sponsor thousands of haj pilgrims were stolen proceeds.

"Mahathir often claimed 1MDB funds are stolen. How then did 1MDB steal its own money to enable sponsoring haj pilgrims?

"Pilgrims sponsored by 1MDB need not be worried, because the funds used to help them perform this fifth pillar of Islam is from a halal (clean) source, because I will bear a great sin if it is otherwise," Najib said in a Facebook posting today.

He also said that he was saddened that poor Malaysian Muslims who needed aid to perform the haj would no longer receive such assistance from the government.

Yesterday, Mahathir in an apparent jibe at the Yayasan 1MDB programme, said the government would no longer be sending people to perform their haj pilgrimage on stolen money.

1MDB's haj programme began in 2011, with 111 individuals sent for their pilgrimages. To date, a total of 6,911 people have been sponsored for the pilgrimages to Mecca.

  2. “1MDB’s money is its own money”

That’s the same logic as “taxpayer’s tax, once paid to the government, belongs to the government” and the government don’t need to account to the taxpayer for it.

One thing Najib told us he did not really involved with running 1MDB.
Then, who decided to use or take(not stealing) the $$$$ to sponsor the IMAMs for the haj pilgrimage??? Now, he incrontovertibly said that the money used for sponsoring the haj is halal. What is the dalil?

  10. Forget about whether the money is stolen or not... are the money he used to sponsor the pilgrims from his own pocket? If it is from public funding what is there to shout about and be proud of ... as it is, the greed of the family as evident by the enormous seizure of monies and designer items is clear that he do not know the meaning of the word sin or if he is even bothered if he commits them

  11. Just publish the list of free Haj receivers ad you'll see so many BN cronies taking a free ride on 1MDB monies for a free Haj.

Ahjib thought he could fool investigators by mixing up donated monies with 1MDB laundered monies to his account. Unfortunately, the donations don't add up to the amount of laundered stolen monies from 1 MDB.

Surprisingly, did anyone notice Ahjibkor never dare touch anything on the SRC monies. That case is so obvious with no escape since BNM have all the money transactions done mostly in Malaysia.

I just have a feeling, TDM is toying around with Ahjib until he commits seppukku with no where to turn too when the time to charge him comes around finally.

And it may start with the SRC and IRB cases which are easier to handle and dispose off to send him to jail immediately while resolving the other bigger cases which may take some time.

Either way, Ahjib knows he is slowly being cornered and the only way out for him is to regain power politically again by hook or by crook.

For that he needs to outlive TDM to see his resurrection.

  12. Everyone knows that Mahathir isn't a real Muslim. So for him to prevent others from fulfilling their haj is no surprise.

Like someone said recently, there's a special place in Hell for him and others like him.

  13. Switzerland's Attorney General stated that Malaysia (at the time) had flatly refused to cooperate on their investigations into 1MDB.

United States Department of Justice is on record stating zero cooperation from Malaysian authorities , including formal Mutual Legal Assistance request.
Since Malaysia is a signatory to relevant United Nations conventions , such disrespect for international treaties amounted to Malaysia being a Pariah nation.
