BN Harassment Machine

On 18 June 2016 FMT reported Dr Ramasamy, Penang's DCM II, lamenting that certain Tamil vernacular schools authorities were not giving due recognition to the efforts of the Penang (Pakatan) State government in supporting the development of Tamil vernacular schools in terms of land and annual financial funding.

I have to say that on this, Dr Rama has been working extraordinarily hard to serve the Indian community, especially on Tamil schooling and Hindu religious affairs.

Dr Rama was dismayed that the management of some Tamil school only pandered (read this word to mean 'bodek', wakakaka) to Putrajaya in their hope for uninterrupted federal funding while taking the Penang State government's efforts and annual funding for granted.

Those bodek-sih Tamil school authorities even snubbed the state ministers, ignoring the fact that CM Lim Guan Eng and Dr Rama (DCM II) donated RM260,000 to the state's Tamil primary schools and kindergartens as well as Punjabi schools.

FMT also reported on how Dr Rama was snubbed by one Tamil school in Permatang Tinggi, near Kepala Batas where he was invited as DCM II but totally ignored by the school in favour of a BN-linked NGO president.

Well, it has happened once again but this time even with a far worse treatment to CM Lim Guan Eng.

To be fair to SJKC Sungai Lembu, it was NOT the school authority which ignored Guan Eng but rather the Education Department, in teh person of state education director Shaari Osman who demanded that the CM must inform and obtain prior approval from the education minister before visiting any schools.

Guan Eng did that, asking for permission, but he was still barred from his planned visit during which he had intended to hand over state funds for the school.

The MM Online reported Guan Eng cries foul after being barred from visiting school, extracts of report as follows:

... he was prevented from visiting a Chinese vernacular school in Bukit Mertajam.

The Penang lawmaker was to visit SJKC Sungai Lembu on August 26, but was stopped from doing so on that day.

“Deputy Education Minister Datuk Chong Sin Woon said I must write in for approval to the Education Department before visiting the school, so I wrote in on September 5 to visit the school today,” he said in a press conference at his office today.

Chong Sin Woon

He said the department replied on September 6 to say his request to visit the school could not be approved. He said:

“This is a travesty that an elected chief minister is not allowed to visit a school to inspect it and handover funding to the school.”

“Why is the chief minister, who is an elected representative, not allowed to visit a school to inspect the school and hand over allocation while an Umno leader who was never an elected representative is allowed to enter the school?”

He was referring to Umno Permatang Pauh division chief Datuk Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said who had previously visited some schools in Permatang Pauh.

Just two days ago I had warned Guan Eng to expect the BN-UMNO tools like MACC, RoS, EC and police, etc, to kacau the DAP until BN is back in power after GE-14.

Well, my above "etc" has shown the Education Ministry to be part of the BN Harassment Machine.
