Führer der Bocorites, Sieg Heil

I'm sure by now you know who respects Hitler, wakakaka, and who also tweeted this image of a green bra:

MCA Youth Leader, Chong Sin Woon has been absolutely correct in saying, "That tweet leaves the impression that the only image permanently imprinted in the mind of Bung is the female anatomy since as early as 2006, he had already spewed 'bocor' remarks against a female MP thereby belittling the menstrual cycle of all women."

The Kinabatangan Klutzy Klown has been a serial offender against women's dignity and privacy.

Okay then, let's rewind to where our wannabe Führer first came to notoriety, which alas, was unfortunately in the so-called august House, Parliament, but which had over the years been so much abused by a few low brow clowns and simians that I have to deem it as the Malaysian Monkey House, with apologies to the general inmates, wakakaka.

parliamentarians should blame him for bringing Parliament into disrepute

On 11 May 2007 (during the era of AAB, wakakaka) I posted MP's menstruation mesmerised motherless monkeys which revealed the following (wakakaka):

'Ere the dust has settled down on my posting Mindless Morons in Monkey Mansion, the crude creepy Cyclops and his menstruation-mesmerised monyet mate have been up to ... of course ... monkey ... tricks again - it's their usual sickening shameless simian behaviour.

According to Malaysiakini, the latter, joined by the former, made mind boggling sexist remarks about DAP Fong Po Kuan’s menstrual cycle in that place ... yes, none other than that ... Monkey House - apologies again to inmate exceptions.

Both slimy sexist simians did not deny making the unbelievable comments.

Sadly, no lady MP from the Barisan Nasional protested against their unparliamentary intrusive insults. Those BN ladies must have been meditating in elegant silence, probably on Shahrir Samad's dismissal as Chairman of the Backbenchers Club when he supported the DAP's motion to refer (apparently a very powerful) Cyclops to the Committee of Privileges for the latter's 'close-one-eye' proposal to Customs.

But when Fong, the lady directly insulted by those crude crass comments called for a motion under the Standing Order 26 (1P) to refer the two BN MPs to the Committee of Privileges, predictably Speaker Ramli Ngah Talib dismissed the motion.

Is there no shame in that Monkey House? (apologies to all real simians, not those wannabes)

Malaysiakini reported:

Fong expressed her regret over the decision: “I feel sad that no woman MP in the Dewan just now voiced their objection to the comments that were insulting to all women.”

DAP MP Teresa Kok said the matter was not new: “Each time a gender sensitive issue comes out … each time derogatory remarks were made against women, there is no action taken by the speaker.”

Lim said, “The Kinabatangan MP (Mokhtar) behaved as though he has no mother, or daughters or sisters. And the BN can thump unashamedly at the rejection of the motion on technical ground.”

That was how Der Führer became Führer der Bocorites.

personal standard of  Der Führer

Now, in case any males out there don't know anything about what those monkeys had been fascinated with, namely, a woman's monthly period, it's more commonly referred to as menstruation.

Menstruation seems be governed by the lunar 28-day cycle, which may explain why it had caused those two UMNO MPs to be mesmerized by it and become mad (or lunatic, you know from the word ‘lunar’).

Apparently, in Mayan mythology, the Moon Goddess (Po) slept with the Sun, said to be one sizzling hot stud. When her dad found out about the illicit gamboling frolic, he killed her a la the honour-killing by parents in the sub-continent and middle-east but as usual, like in the case of the ‘baby dumping’ scandal or the recent Halimah char-kuat spa physiotherapeutic incident, Sunny Boy the bloke who was equally responsible got away with it. BTW, I was assured no stone was thrown during the execution of Po.

The blood Po shed from her execution was said to be the origin of menstruation. Her blood was considered evil because she was disobedient, not unlike Eve or worse, her far more sexy predecessor Lilith, the 1st wife of Adam.

But there’s more – Mayan myth has her blood stored in 13 jars, enough for several generations of Malaysian Bocorites including those who commented on DAP's Teo Nie Ching's 'dirty-ness'.

This is the part which Malaysians like – the first jar’s blood was transformed into creatures such as snakes and insects like scorpions, centipedes, and not forgetting UMNO's favourite pets, the tebuans.

‘Twas also the source of the original poison and diseases – we may take it that Malaysia's Jabba the Hutt and his ilk were created from there. Sorcery was associated with the blood in the first jar – maybe that’s how those could even know about Fong's and Teo’s ‘dirty-ness’?

However, some jars also hold medicinal plants, but I suspect most of these plants were/are growing in Columbia, Peru, Myanmar, Afghanistan and Turkey, wakakaka.

The thirteenth jar is the lunar jar, from which the Moon Goddess was reborn alongside many lunatics who have since been possessed by and obsessed with the bocor business.

Mayan moon goddess

But the ancient Jews have a different myth regarding menstruation, though without neglecting their misogynistic proclivity.

Of course for them the myth originated in the Garden of Eden and was related to their belief in the Fall of Man. Naturally, women had to be blamed, specifically Eve and Lilith.

According to their Kabbalistic belief, Eve was tempted by the serpent, which in Christian belief was Satan in disguise, specifically Samael.

Now to confuse you, in Judaism, Samael is not Satan but an (not fallen) Archangel,  a frightening looking dude who was not above a bit (or a lot) of evil wickedness. He was the Angel of Death who reigned as Lord of the 5th Heaven but was seen even in the 7th Heaven.

Samael

It was said that when the Archangel Metatron took Moses to the 7th Heaven, he (Moses) was scared to shits when he saw Samael. In Louis Ginzberg’s The Ascension of Moses, we are told:

There was another angel in the seventh heaven, different in appearance from all the others, and of frightful mein. His height was so great, it would have taken five hundred years to cover a distance equal to it, and from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet he was studded with glaring eyes, at the sight of which the beholder fell prostrate in awe.

"This one," said Metatron, addressing Moses, "is Samael, who takes the soul away from man." "Whither goes he now?" asked Moses, and Metatron replied, "To fetch the soul of Job the pious."

Thereupon Moses prayed to God in these words, "O may it be Thy will, my God and the God of my fathers, not to let me fall into the hands of this angel."

But in Kabbalistic lore, it’s a bit more than just Samael (the Christian Satan) in the guise of a serpent seducing or tempting Eve into eating the forbidden fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It was Samael having sex with, yes, bonking Eve, who at that time according to Kabbalistic belief, was still a virgin.

When Lilith saw this it was said she became envious and immediately took on the guise of Samael to have sex with Eve as well. The Kabbalists believed that menstrual blood was the 'filth and the impure seed' of both Samael and Lilith in Eve through their sexual acts, and which were to become a curse on womankind.

Lilith

Now, you may well ask how Lilith a female could inject 'impure seed' (semen) into Eve. According to Kabbalistic belief, both Samael and Lilith were androgynous, and believe it or not, so originally were Adam and Eve as well.

Here's where the misogynistic accusation started. The rabbinic lore averred that Lilith guised as Samael as(?) a serpent, together with Samael himself, who in turn was of course guised as a serpent (phallic symbol?) were able to have sex with Eve because of women’s inherent lustfulness and weakness.

And we sure as hell (pardon the pun) know from the Old Testament what misogynists those priestly caste were. And which may possibly also explain why an Indian Minister recently had the vile preposterous effrontery to say Rape can sometimes be right.

Then, the de-flowered Eve screwed Adam during her menstruation, defiling the latter, but in that defilement made Lilith stronger. Lilith was then able to come to him (screw him) against his will (I bet 'against his will', what bloody misogynistic poppycock, wakakaka) to steal his seed to engender many demons, spirits, and Lilin (Lilin being male versions of Lilith).

We can see that both Mayan and Jewish myths, undeniably written by men, blamed women. And among its doctrinal inheritors seem to an Indian Minister, a Catholic priest the 'Most Reverent' (wakakaka) Benedict Groeschel of the conservative Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, New York who stated in late August 2012, that priests accused of child sex abuse had often been seduced by their accusers and that a first-time offender should not go to jail, and of course our very own former (male) MP for Rantau Panjang, wakakaka - see my post The waters of Rantau Panjang.

Thus it's not surprising, and indeed unfortunate, that most religions consider menstruation and its blood unclean. Chief among these religions are the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism, Shinto-ism and even Jainism.

Leviticus 18:19 reads, “You shall not approach a woman in her time of unclean separation, to uncover her nakedness.”

By now, what with the lustful exploits of Lilith, Eve, Samael and Adam, it's hardly surprising for us that among religions, Judaism has the most severe observations and taboos for menstruation. Mind, this does not include the more modernized form of Judaism.

But as recent as 1878, just a mere 135 years ago, the British Medical Journal (not mere pub talk) published a piece that said a menstruating woman would cause bacon to putrefy, wakakaka.

Only Buddhism and Sikhism don’t give a rat’s fart care about menstruation or the consequential blood.

In Theravada Buddhism, menstruation is viewed as "a natural physical excretion that women have to go through on a monthly basis, nothing more or less".

Guru Nānak condemned the practice of treating women as impure while menstruating – good onya, Guru.

I couldn't find anything much on Taoism other than it says a woman loses much vitality during her menstruation and that she should endeavour her best to control it, presumably by Taoist exercises(?). How, what?

As Confucianism is more of the practice of exemplary social order through rites and protocols including proper decorum, respect to elders (daulat tuanku) and society, charity and benevolence, etc, rather than a religion of belief in the divine per se (Confucius was the bloke who advised "Revere the gods but keep them at a distance"), I doubt whether it has any taboos on menstruation and I have to say I haven't heard of any.

However, I am aware that non-Christian non-Muslim Chinese women like my mum (during my younger days in Penang) were reluctant to visit temples during their 'monthly', though their observation didn't seem to be based on any Taoist or Buddhist practice but I suspect more on Chinese folklore beliefs.

In the final analysis, we know that every normal human being was born bathed in menstrual blood, except of course those descended from slugs or had emerged from beneath a stone, wakakaka

Back on track - anyway, on 08 July 2008, our wannabe Führer der Bocorite made an obscene gesture known to Penangites as 'kapuk' in nowhere less than the Monkey House. Wasn't he just low class?

The readers write-in comments in Malaysiakini Vox Populi columns such as 'Repent, you shameful man' and 'Suspend Kinabatangan MP' showed their disgust for the Member of Parliament for Kinabatangan (yes a MP, can you bloody believe this!).

The dictionary tells us one meaning of the act of ‘kapuk-ing’ or ‘berkapuk’ would be ‘to embrace from behind’ as in the example of a bad rider doing so to a horse’s neck.

The dictionary obviously refuses to continue from there. But young Penangites in my days could include to that action of clinging from behind, a humping action as well, wakakaka. That's what we understood by 'kapuk-ing', wakakaka again.

A Malaysiakini reader Sabahan said: "This clown is an insult not only to all parliamentarians, but to all Malaysians and especially Sabahans."

"He thinks that the Parliament is a coffee shop where he can use vulgar language and gestures and crack vulgar jokes to amuse his like-minded fellow parliamentarians from the Barisan Nasional."

Another Vox Populi reader compared his behaviour to that of a trishaw puller, except of course a trishaw puller is not a member of parliament.

But to conclude on our bocor story and its proponent, Führer der Bocorites, do read the following 2007 letter of apology to YB Menteri Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga & Masyarakat, wakakaka:

Dodgee Pharmaceuticals

Taman Kamunting
Pulau Pinang

Kepada:
Yang Berhormat
Datuk Boh Bo Chor
Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga & Masyarakat

Datuk,

I refer to the magnificent resolution that Datuk's ministry has brought about, over an unnecessary polemical conflict regarding a minor issue of plumbing deficiency in our most august House of Parliament. Trust those DAP MPs to escalate a mere leak into a raging torrent of protests.

I was appalled by the DAP's insensitivity for making mountains out of puddles.

In fact it was such a non issue that I would normally ignore it if I did not chance across a report of the DAP scandalous behaviour, that was overdone by that insidious subversive online news portal called malaysiakini which I assure you I do not read at all.

It was one of my shop assistants who informed me of the news item. No doubt he was skiving from his duties to surf the Internet, again. He is only employed on a monthly basis so I will have no difficulty in removing him.

malaysiakini should be officially chastised for even leaking jokes made in jest and which are protected by parliamentary privileges. How insensitive and tasteless of the online news outlet, undoubtedly plagued by mainly unemployed (male) blogger-liars masquerading as
journalists.

May I once again congratulate Datuk's ministry for plugging up the opposition party's outrageous and subversive propaganda well before that disgraceful deplorable dribble develops any further.

Indeed, thanks to your ministry's swift and prompt action, we have spared the two commendable Yang Berhormats from being unnecessarily and shamefully harassed and insulted with tasteless titillating titbits by those DAP feminine-Nazis.

Yet ungratefully, some citizens (I would not be surprise if their vociferous protests were created by phantom bloggers) still fail to see how your Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development has, as in this exemplary conflict resolution, firmly 'guided' Malaysian women including and especially that DAP Fong Po Kuan into their 'rightful positions', a correct and necessary action to ensure Malaysia has a fighting chance to develop 'traditional' family values.

China Press has reported the brilliant reply of a Yang Berhormat when he was again, alas, harassed for comment by journalists yesterday on whether he would apologise to Fong. He courageously stated: “I will apologise IF she is a woman!”

Articulate, pithy and straight right to the source of where all of us, I mean this, came from, the Yang Berhormat’s superb hard hitting response captured the worrying existence of what I had earlier described as the festering fermenting feminine-Nazi culture in the DAP.

Don’t they know their womenly place in our Malaysian society? My colleagues and I wish to reaffirm our appreciation for your Women Affairs Ministry in protecting men’s rights against such demonic Lilith’s.

Additionally, the Yang Berhormat has sublimely but succinctly drawn our attention to the importance of not messing and moaning around with leaks but instead, of seeking a plumber.

Incidentally, may I take this opportunity to advise that my pharmaceutical store has an impressive range of high quality female hygiene products available. We store both international and domestic products.

Out of a sense of good citizenship, if it helps those DAP feminine-Nazis manage their 'personal' problems better, I am prepared to extend a 10% discount for any product they purchase, assuming they can even afford them on their paltry monthly salaries.

For Barisan Nasional (BN) members, regardless of gender, the discount is 20%. And for BN parliamentarians, I am prepared, as a grateful citizen, to sacrifice good business sense by slashing 35% off. Be assured that my offer carries an unusual sacrificial rain check for your party members.

Please convey my appreciation to those two magnificent Yang Berhormats for their unruffled dignity in the face of vicious DAP provocative insensitive attacks.

If it can be any consolation to their selfless sacrifice of making an unnecessary apology, do advise them that the dictionary* also explains an ‘apology’ as a ‘poor example’. So we may take it that the apology was extended to an apology for a woman, that is, if at all she(?) is one, as the Yang Berhormat has stated.

I hope the divisive affair is finally and firmly plugged up.

Malaysia Bocorleh!

Yang benar

Dodgee Dimsum

p/s * apart from dictionaries, my other company Dodgee Book Store (just next door to my Dodgee Pharmaceuticals) carries an impressive range of books, DVDs and stationery.

I am also expecting two new management books titled “Conflict Resolution: making apologies without being apologetic” and “Tapping into Malaysian Traditional Family Values: Resisting subversive neo-feminine culture”. The same respective discounts apply to Barisan Nasional members.

Penang Syariah Courts Ultra Kiasu?

Islam!

Muslim!

Often we non-Muslims have been told we won't be affected by the implementation of hudud, for the Islamic code of punishments only apply to Muslims.

Often we non-Muslims have been told to butt out of Islamic/Muslim issues for they don't concern us, nor are we qualified to comment on them.

Okay boss, but anyway let me reproduce extracts of a Free Malaysia Today's article, as follows:

On Feb 28 2012, the Syariah Lower Court here sentenced Halimah to 14 days’ jail and RM3,000 fine for committing khalwat with a non-Muslim at a spa in Jalan Seang Teik here at 11.40am on Dec 8 2011.

In September last year, the Syariah High Court dismissed Halimah’s appeal and upheld her conviction.

A normal khalwat case, you may assume.

But Halimah was and, last I heard, still is a Christian, a Catholic Christian. The title of the FMT article was
Christian woman wants khalwat case dropped before retrial
.

And she's right too - why should a Christian be charged let alone convicted in an Islamic Court for violating an Islamic rule?

Halimah, a Roman Catholic Indonesian

Whoever the smart alec was (wakakaka) who was said to have inducted by stealth(?) more than a million Indons into our country more than two decades ago to 'balance' up the ethnic breakdown in Malaysia's population might have forgotten that Indons unlike Malays weren't/aren't all Muslims.

And it seems our mullah-brownshirts in Penang could have also suffered from that same ignorance in arresting and charging and convicting Halimah, an Indon Catholic, for khalwat.

Indons could well be Christians and Hindus, with Buddhists only a minority. During Suharto's days, the officially approved 5 religions of Indonesia were Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Catholic Christianity and Protestant Christianity. In those days when the military was running the show, ABRI (Angkatan Bersenjata Republic Indonesia) further allowed its anggota-anggota berkaum Tionghua to be Taoists and Confucianists.

Their aim in specifying approved religions was to deny Communism any foothold in their society. Alas, they didn't approve of relatively less known religions such as Bahá'í or I suspect too, Orthodox Christianity or wakakaka, definitely Atheism or Ayah Pin-ism.

When Halimah appealed to the Syariah High Court last year she made known her religious status, but as we noted the Syariah High Court dismissed Halimah’s appeal and upheld her conviction of 14 days’ jail and RM3,000 fine for committing khalwat with a non-Muslim at a spa.

In dismissing her appeal and thus supporting the Syariah Lower Court's conviction of a non-Muslim on an Islamic prohibition, khalwat, a law meant only for Muslims as we have been repeatedly told, it meant the Syariah High Court had persisted in a wrongful prosecution and thus persecution of a non-Muslim by use of a Islamic law.

That's frightening.

Okay, just to reiterate what had happened at a spa in Jalan Seang Teik, Penang on 08 Dec 2011, two non-Muslims (repeat, two non-Muslims) were engaged in physio-therapeutic session [cha-kuat, that's in Canto wakakaka], and one was charged with the syariah offence of khalwat.

You may ask, why charge a non-Muslim with khalwat? But kaytee being kaytee, I rather ask, why charge ONLY one non-Muslim? Why not BOTH if the syariah court was going down that way, in fact, persisted in going down that way?

Let's hear what Cecil Rajendra, one of Penang's foremost modern poet and a fave of mine, said, as reported by FMT:

Lawyer Cecil Rajendra, who is holding a watching brief for the Malaysian Bar Council, insisted the case should not have gone to the syariah court because Halimah was a Christian.

He noted that under Section 74 of the Penang Religious Enactment Act, the syariah court has no jurisdiction over non-Muslims.

Rajendra said despite this the syariah court went on with the trial and only took action when the Indonesian consulate general intervened.

He said the case showed that syariah law enforcers, prosecutors and judges had all broken their own laws.

He added that Halimah’s case had manifested the sort of justice that non-Muslims could expect under the hudud laws, if implemented.

“This case should not have come up for trial in the first place, let alone a retrial. It’s a miscarriage of justice,” said Rajendra.

Well said Cecil. Yes, the Indon Consulate in Penang had on 28 April 2014 written to the Penang Syariah chief judge Abdul Walid Abu Hassan for Halimah’s case to be reviewed and withdrawn as Halimah is a Catholic Christian, and therefore does not fall under syariah jurisdiction.

Guess what, those syariah wonders has returned Halimah's case to the Syariah Lower Court for a retrial because she's not a Muslim.

WTF!

Hey holy men, don't you get it, Halimah is NOT a Muslim so what bloody retrial in a syariah court are you talking about?

Instead you wonders should not only erase that inappropriate and illegal conviction, but also apologize profusely to her for wrongful arrest and illegal-religious harassment, and also compensate her financially for her troubles, including court and legal fees, and even add in punitive fees for stressing her. And I recommend (wakakaka) these be deducted from the pay of those judges of the Penang Syariah Lower as well as Appeal Courts.

More importantly, this is the sort of ultra kiasu mentality of Malaysia's syariah courts where they just want to win whatsoever, and in covering up their fuckups, have called for a ritual-sandiwara retrial in order to pardon her or dismiss those charges which should not in the first place be even laid.

Ultra kiasu - what does our foremost Islamic Warrior RTA say?

It's so fucking clear they (the syariah courts) have made a humongous mistake of unmitigated proportions and still refused to say a simple 'SORRY, we fucked up real good'.

And as we know already, but now demonstrated so annoyingly and arrogantly by the syariah courts, there seems in the ordering of a retrial in a Syariah Court of a Christian already wrongfully prosecuted and persecuted in an earlier Syariah Court to be no logic, reason, nor fairness.

On 2nd thoughts, these deficiencies are quite common in religious matters (of all religions including and especially the Abrahamic religions).

This is what I had warned in a number of my posts about the implementation of syariah-hudud laws, that a Malaysia under Islamic syariah laws (inclusive of its hudud) as envisaged and intended by PAS (and some sections of UMNO) will in all likelihood not have an option for political belakang pusing for non-Muslims and even Muslims.

Democracy and its institutions will automatically come under the control of a supreme, non-democratic, non-questionable, non-challengeable (a la the fatwas of a former-late Kedah PAS MB), and totally dictatorial religious Majlis, FOREVER MORE, ...

... and as mentioned by RPK in his post Friday prayers are NOT compulsory, said the Mufti, the process in an Islamic environment is not democratic and not questionable even by logic, reason, precedent or rules.

Thus one cannot, in Manglish (Malaysian English), 'simply play play' with our voting in any election in believing we can still vote PAS out in a following election if we don't like its policies.

In all probability there may well be no following election once the religious Majlis has been established, for it will be all powerful, absolute in its command, control and governing of national politics and indeed everything, and frighteningly unchallengeable.

It is unlikely to put itself in a position of losing its power, as we will soon see in the Kassim Ahmad case. Thus it will likely be that all election candidates may have to be approved by the Majlis, so perhaps Najib and Anwar should both bear this in mind, wakakaka .

For the pythonic demon will by then have wrapped its sinister coils around all of us kau kau, where there will be no escape.

It's not the first incident of the Islamic authorities intruding arrogantly and aggressively into non-Muslims domains. See my posts PAS - from Progressive to Pythonic.

We have already been deeply concerned with PAS' version of Islamic rules which had been shown to directly affect non-Muslims, such as the KB gender segregation rules (unisex hair dressing salons; couple holding hands), PAS own interpreted moral values in taking action against 2 non-Muslim men in a car watching aeroplanes taking off at KB airport, and again PAS own interpreted Islamic values in its intrusive dress codes in Kedah for Chinese New Year concerts.

And recall the traumatised elderly American couple who were intrusively harassed by the religious police in Langkawi, who broke into their room suspecting they committed khalwat, so much so that the frightened wife took the first plane out of Malaysia, with this happening during Malaysia's Year of Tourism, wakakaka. The poor hubby had to stay back for his yacht to be repaired before he swiftly sailed away

And the Islamic religious authorities have recently shown its heavy discriminatory hand in its prosecution of frail 81-year old Kassim Ahmad but not that of Raja Bomoh and his embarrassing non-Islamic occult antics.

Well, I suppose they are deep shit scared of Kassim Ahmad because his views as Malaysia's foremost intellectual had threatened their positions/jobs, whereas Raja Bomoh for all his nonsense was good for a laugh or two.

Kassim had accused some ulama in Malaysia of imitating the 'priesthood caste' system.

TMI reported Kassim's view on the ulama 'caste', where he said he used the term 'priesthood' because the ulama have become 'dictators' of the Muslim's understanding of his Islam. He stated: "This class of priests control the interpretation of religion to the masses. They are dictators. There is no freedom."

Indeed, and that's why they are scared of him. Naturally, the Terengganu Fatwa Committee have unanimously (wakakaka) ruled that Kassim's statements on the priesthood caste etc as kufur (disbelief) and apostate thoughts.

What do you expect, for those religious mullahs to say Kassim Ahmad is a jolly good fella? Wakakaka.

But what has worried me more has been their arrogant prosecutorial-persecutorial treatment of a non-Muslim, Halimah, a Catholic Christian woman, and their various (state) government-sanctioned intrusions into non-muslim activities in Kelantan, Kedah and one incident each in Ipoh and KL, and of course the already 9/11-traumatized American couple.

But sorry lah, I won't include in my concerns the prohibition on the Catholic Herald's wish to use the 'Allah' word, wakakaka.

My 3 strikes out for Khalid Ibrahim

I didn't like Khalid Ibrahim from the beginning - sorry, correction to that, not from the very beginning when he was the PKR candidate for the Ijok by-election in 2007 but during the Grand Saga toll fracas just after he became MB Selangor.

In 2007 I knew nothing about Khalid Ibrahim other than he was the CEO of PNB and later Guthrie, and of course Anwar Ibrahim's friend when the latter was Finance Minister and DPM. It was a year later that I began to dislike him, though I have to acknowledge as a MB he wasn't too bad, certainly much better than someone wakakaka. Khalid's main problem as MB with his Pakatan colleagues has been his propensity to act alone as if he alone runs Selangor.

In 2007 he was, courtesy of Anwar's say-so, parachuted into Ijok as the PKR candidate despite Anwar's erstwhile best buddy Nallakaruppan being earlier promised PKR's candidacy. Anwar's personal choice was very much against the advice of prominent pro-Pakatan Indian leaders, who were ignored. Thus had/have been the fate of PKR Indians - for more read my post titled Karmic lot of PKR Indians? at my other blog BolehTalk.

The take then was Anwar and PKR wanted to play safe by having a Malay candidate in that Malay majority state seat, a sad reflection on PKR's claim that it's a multi-racial party, while BN (effectively UMNO) and supposedly Malay-dominated was the coalition daring enough to put up an Indian candidate, K Parthiban. To add insult to PKR Indian injury, the BN candidate won, wakakaka.

As a side note, this probably marked the beginning of a gradual but unending Indian exodus from PKR.

PKR's stark cakap ta'serupa bikin-ness in its claimed multi-racial credentials was again shown in Hulu Selangor when it put up Zaid Ibrahim against the BN candidate, Kamalanathan, a MIC man selected by UMNO much against the wishes of MIC (and even UMNO), wakakaka.

Mind you, I would have loved for Zaid Ibrahim to win but then how could he when we heard he was sabo by someone (wakakaka) in PKR who allegedly furnished UMNO with photos of Zaid indiscreetly (within a Muslim context) yamsenging.

when good men like Zaid leaves, what hope is there for PKR?

Nonetheless, the point has been that in a Malay majority constituency so-called multiracial PKR thought of playing safe by putting up a Malay candidate whilst Malay-dominated BN (effectively UMNO) had the daring to put up an Indian candidate.

Let's return to Khalid before I get too engrossed with my fave topic wakakaka.

I began to dislike and even distrust Khalid when in 2008 (when he was MB) I perceived that he didn't quite have a pro-people socialistic political mentality, and let's face facts, PAS, DAP and indeed the PRM-component of PKR are socialistic though the former might not like that political description because of a silly perception that socialism equates into godless communism - I'll blog on this in a future post.

Strike 1

Perhaps because of his corporate career background, Khalid was seen to be pro big business, and this, his very pro big business attitude, was first seen in 2008 in the Grand Saga new tollgate in Cheras.

What happened then was that somehow the toll company in its construction missed a by-pass to the toll highway. The Cheras residents exploited this by-pass, very legally, for their free motor-cycling to where they wanted to go without going through the toll gate.

Needless to say, Grand Saga immediately (and actually illegally) erected some temporary concrete barrier at the by-pass to force Cheras motor cyclists to go by a longer way to enter the highway by the tollgate.

Grand Saga's erection of the barrier happened despite the Pakatan Rakyat state government confirming with the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (Jupem) that the land where the barrier was being erected was the property of the State government who thus had complete jurisdiction over the by-pass road and any construction on it.

In other words, the Grand Saga company had no business to be erecting barricades there to force the residents to not only use the toll road but to travel at extra 6 kilometres to where the tollgate was, in order to have the privilege of paying the toll fees, adding a longer travelling insult to the injury of the fees.

Then they somehow coopted our ferocious FRU to help prevent the Cheras residents from removing the illegally erected barrier. Yessiree, the police abetted in protecting an illegally erected structure on state land.

Some resident-protesters in their encounter with the FRU ended up with blood all over, with even one Member of Parliament beaten up by our infamous men in blue.

I wonder whether Malaysia has the dubious distinction of being the only Commonwealth Country where one of its MPs (lawmakers) was beaten up by its police?

Sadly then, Khalid Ibrahim as the first non-BN MB of Selangor failed kau kau the people of Cheras who had supported and voted him in also as their federal MP for Bandar Tun Razak. He refused to take action to prevent the erection of the illegal barrier on state land and we'll soon learn why in the following paragraphs.

Malaysiakini tells us in its article Barricade row: Pakatan state gov't 'weak' that the Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC) residents slammed Khalid Ibrahim for refusing to order the Kajang Municipal Council to take legal action against Grand Saga for erecting the illegal structure.

The Kajang Municipal Council has jurisdiction over the road on which the toll company has built the barrier to prevent Cheras residents from accessing the highway for free.

To add insult to the Cheras residents' injury, Khalid Ibrahim turned down their invitation to visit the barricaded area. This was in contrast to the people's oriented action by Ronnie Liu, the DAP ADUN who in 2008 was also a state exco member. Ronnie turun padang almost immediately to look into the Cheras residents' grievances but Khalid obviously didn't see fit to do so - I suppose it's none of the hoi polloi for him.

But far worse, Khalid expressed his concerns not so much for the people but rather for the company. I quote Tony Pua who wrote in his blog (extracts):

… Khalid Ibrahim has acknowledged, as per the Star report yesterday that “the residents had the right to use the access road without having to pay toll”, it is disappointing that he had not taken a stronger stand on the issue, and in fact had not dealt with it much earlier when the FRU was first deployed, or even before that.

This has resulted in the situation clearly getting out of control, with a fracas between the residents and the FRU units in the wee hours of the morning 2 days ago ... and a Member of Parliament (DAP MP for Segambut Lim Lip Eng) lying in the hospital at this point of time, having been assaulted by the police.

Lim Lip Eng
maced, punched, kicked and assaulted by police

It is critical that the new state government demonstrate political will and determination to stand for what is right and just, without fear or favour, instead of wavering in uncertainty or adopting a “we will look into it” or “we will have to discuss further” culture which is reminiscent of the previous Barisan Nasional government.

It is of great concern that Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim had qualified his statement on the “right of use” by saying that the state government must also take into consideration that the toll is the source of revenue for the company.

With the advantage of hindsight, we shouldn't be all that surprised with Khalid showing his concerns more for the company's revenue.

Strike 2

The second time he pissed me off when he was ready to abandon Eli Wong by the wayside in her moment of dire need.

In my 18 February 2009 post titled Elizabeth Wong's 'Et Tu PKR'? I wrote (relevant extracts):

In Susan's [my matey Susan Loone] latest post I weep over Eli Wong’s resignation she wrote:

This blog mourns for Elizabeth Wong, the Bukit Lanjan state assembly woman who has been pressured to resign because of nude pictures of her being publicly distributed.

The person(s) who did the act of taking her pictures without a consent and distributing it continues to enjoy impunity.

I know it was the party she represented - PKR - who asked her to resign. And that to me, may be a strategic but a most disheartening thing to do.

It gives credence to gutter politics, to sleaze and evil politicking, within and without the party.

As a woman and friend of Eli Wong, I weep over what has happen to her. It will take me some time to recover for sure.

Yes Susan my dear friend, we are devastated as well, including my matey Dean Johns who penned in his usual Malaysiakini column Elizabeth Wong resigns - right or wrong? these sad words: And a sign that, as painfully stripped of her confidence as she must be feeling right now, Wong would be wrong to resign.

Blast PKR for its gutlessness, for being worried about the rumoured ethno-religious mix surrounding the issue of Eli’s victimisation.

while PKR leaders shamefully scurried away like gutless rats in panic,
UMNO's Nazri and MCA's Chew Mei Fung came out to support Eli

Instead of looking after Eli during her most vulnerable period, their top [PKR] brass have been looking over their shoulders, more concerned about the impact of this issue on the heartland’s support (which they prefer than the current urban support they enjoy), and also fearing that their PAS partner with their conservative tight ass morality, may be repulsed into UMNO’s arms.

These senior party members (you know who) want Eli to preferably disappear from the face of the earth, but if not, then to resign and, to put it cruelly, bugger off.

Forget about her loyalty, service, and dedication to the party. She has now become a liability to PKR.

Scat Eli, except they again lack the guts to say it – instead, ‘persuading’ her to tender her resignation, when earlier she had already stated resolutely she was not going to cave in to such contemptible smearing.

Oh, the pressure she had been subjected to, the betrayal, the lack of support – can you understand why she broke down into tears?

But wait, the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.

The Malaysian Insider reported in Eli could remain assemblyman, but exit exco because those spineless Wonders now realized how blooming popular Eli is, and are shit scared of the no-no move of accepting Eli’s resignation.

Eli’s supporters and those very sympathetic to her cause may be so pissed off that they will desert the PKR banner.

But Khalid Ibrahim seems still keen to see her go, stating: … Wong was a victim but her willingness to resign from all posts is a selfless decision on her part to protect PKR because she is well aware that BN will continue to exploit the issue to damage the party.

And of course he would seek the advice of the Sultan of Selangor before making any decision. Mr Wannabe-Teflon!

In that sorry event in 2009, instead of coming forth as a courageous and resolute leader in the mold of Pak Haji Nik Aziz,Lim Kit Siang or Zaid Ibrahim to demonstrate his unreserved support for Eli Wong, a loyal PKR exo but a severely traumatized victim, the cowardly MB scurried to 'seek advice' from HRH, which was perceived as an excuse to abdicate his MB/leadership responsibility for his PKR ADUN.

Strike 3

I became quite disgusted by his naughtiness which I blogged in Selangor saga shows PKR's ketuanan mentality? based on my letter to and published by Malaysiakini. Read the linked post to see how he had treated his best ally, the DAP, and also his new found arrogance.

I believe that was when the DAP, which had been his greatest supporter (against Azmin Ami), realized what sort of Pakatan person Khalid Ibrahim is.

Then came the water issues, Kidex, etc - 'twas all overwhelming. No wonder the DAP now wants him out, admittedly in a situation which they be found worse off! In this complicating complexed confusion over the appointment of a replacement MB, he has found his safe nook to continue as the Royal MB, but then for how long more!

Blackouts

In modern times blackouts have not only been inconvenient but also periods of danger and loss. In colder countries prolonged blackouts during winter had resulted in deaths from severe cold. More accidents would also be likely.

Some years ago, prior to Chinese New Year I had the opportunity to buy from fisherman friends some really (relatively) cheap prawns, bawal putih, senangin and kurau to take home for mum when I went home on CNY leave. I purchased the seafood a month prior to the festive period.

But alas, while I was away for more than a week, a blackout occurred due to an electrical storm. Fallen trees on the cables of the main electrical grid were the cause but after these were removed the following day and electrical supply restored, I wasn't around to switch back on the flat's safety circuit breaker which had tripped during the storm.

By the time I returned a week later, my piscatorial treasures deteriorated into stinking plant fertiliser, wakakaka.

That was my loss, both materially and in the time expended on cleaning up the yucky mess and lingering awful pong in the freezer. And worse, I missed the opportunity to score big with mum, returning home with only some Ipoh pomelos.

More romantic people saw blackouts as an opportunity for romantic interludes by candlelight, with smug grins 9 months later.

I am not sure whether it's true but it's said that in Malaysia one particular organization has more than its share of blackouts, wakakaka, as if some of its members have ownership of light (or its loss), wakakaka again.

Tell me about your experiences, if any, wakakaka.
