Three US service members killed - CentcomBreaking
Three US service members have been killed in action, the US Central Command (Centcom) says. They are the first known fatalities since the US began striking Iran on Saturday.
Five others have been "seriously wounded", the US military says. The names of the three fallen soldiers will not be released until 24 hours after their families have been notified, Centcom adds.
In announcing the US operation against Iran, President Trump warned that "the lives of American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties. That often happens in war".
