Moe Man Thai Boeing 737MAX

The Lion Air crash in 2018 and the Ethopian Airline crash in 2019 were two aircrashes involving Boeing 737MAX. Initially the wankee Department of Justice (DOJ) charged Boeing with criminality and neglect but recently withdrew those charges as it feels Boeing has improved.

The Texas judge, Judge Reed O'Connor hearing the charges disagreed strongly with DOJ's withdrawal for reason it will be in the public interest but said he lacked the authority to override DOJ's decision.

He reminded all.that Boeing committed crimes deserving of prosecution but now is left to monitor itself with a consultant of its own choosing.

  2. Air Asia Airbus A320 crash on Dec 28, 2014 was even earlier but got nowhere....

    Legal proceedings
France opened a criminal investigation to investigate possible manslaughter charges. The family of the first officer, a French national, have filed a lawsuit against AirAsia in connection to the lack of permission to fly on that day, claiming the airline was "endangering the life of others".

Surabaya mayor Tri Rismaharini said her administration had consulted with legal experts from Airlangga University on the fears of most families regarding the difficulties in disbursing insurance funds, after the Transportation Ministry regarded the Surabaya-Singapore flight on 28 Dec as illegal. She said her administration continued to collect data on the victims, including their valuable belongings. The data would later be used for insurance purposes and matters related to the beneficiary rights of the affected families.

The families of ten of the victims filed a suit against Airbus and some of its suppliers, alleging that A320 suffered a malfunction of the fly-by-wire system, and that "at the time the accident aircraft left the control of defendant Airbus, it was defectively and unreasonably dangerous". The case (Aris Siswanto et al. v Airbus, SAS et al., 1:15-cv-05486) was dismissed by the Illinois court on the grounds that it would be more appropriate for the case to be heard in Indonesia.

  3. Air France Flight 447 involving Airbus A330 in 2009 oso Moe Mun Thai....

Air France and Airbus have been investigated for manslaughter since 2011, but in 2019, prosecutors recommended dropping the case against Airbus and charging Air France with manslaughter and negligence, arguing, "the airline was aware of technical problems with a key airspeed monitoring instrument on its planes but failed to train pilots to resolve them". The case against Airbus was dropped on 22 July 2019. The case against Air France was dropped in September 2019 when magistrates said, "there were not enough grounds to prosecute". However, in 2021, a public prosecutor in Paris requested to have Airbus and Air France tried in a court of law. In April, it was announced that both companies would be prosecuted over the crash. Lawyers for Airbus stated they would lodge an immediate appeal against the decision. The trial opened on 10 October 2022, with Airbus and Air France both being charged with involuntary manslaughter. Both companies pleaded not guilty to the charges.

On 7 December, prosecutors announced that they would not seek conviction of either company for manslaughter as they were unable to prove them guilty, and recommended acquitting both companies. Families and friends of the victims were outraged by the decision. On 17 April 2023, Airbus and Air France were both acquitted of manslaughter. A French prosecutor lodged an appeal against the verdict.
