We won’t tolerate constant criticism of the federal government without scrutiny of the state government, says PH secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

“We won’t tolerate constant criticism of the federal government without scrutiny of the state government,” said Saifuddin after closing the Kedah unity coalition convention in Sungai Petani today.
“This is just the beginning. We will organise more joint programmes, including a state-wide tour with our youth and women’s wings to strengthen our presence across Kedah,” he said.
Saifuddin, who is home minister and also Kedah PH chairman, said the shadow committee idea is one of five resolutions adopted at the convention today, as part of the coalition’s moves to recapture power in the Kedah government.
The resolutions include the formation of a joint secretariat to streamline political strategies and ensure coordination.
The Kedah government is formed by Perikatan Nasional, which has 33 seats through PAS (21), Bersatu (11) and Gerakan (1). The opposition comprises three assembly members from PH through PKR (2) and DAP (1).
