KUALA LUMPUR — A Bangladeshi student has “outed” another student from his country for posting social media content where he insults Malaysia and the national flag.

The student, whom the first Bangladeshi student called “Fred”, posted to Instagram stories a reel of himself lifting the Jalur Gemilang while appearing to spit on it.

He also called local universities “mini Bangladesh” while insulting fellow countrymen who studied here.

“Ryan”, the first Bangladeshi student, told World of Buzz that Fred has offended other Bangladeshis when he said “Bangladeshi students studying in Malaysia are low-lives who just can’t compete with students in other countries”.

“Our country’s reputation in Malaysia is so bad,” Fred also said, according to Ryan.

Ryan said Fred had studied medicine for one year at a Malaysian university before transferring to another institution in China.

In another of Fred’s Instagram stories, he said studying in Malaysia was “no better” than studying in Bangladesh, calling the environment in Malaysian universities “messed up”.

Fred also had another reel in which he said China President Xi Jinping “should have bombed Malaysia”.

Ryan told World of Buzz that Fred had to be exposed for his disrespectful actions to both Malaysia and his own fellow Bangladeshi students here

According to Ryan, people from the university Fred attended in Malaysia reached out to him on Instagram with offers to help, which the latter rejected. – December 4, 2024
