WASHINGTON, Oct 2 — US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said today he sees no imminent invasion of Taiwan by China but what US officials observe is China trying to establish a new normal with its military activities around the island.

US authorities are working to re-establish open communications with their Chinese military counterparts to ensure stability in the region, Austin said in an interview with CNN. — Reuters

  1. Nevertheless, Tiongkok does not have control iver a single inch of Taiwan soil ... so an attempt by Tiongkok to take over Taiwan by force is by definition an invasion.

      If China have disbanded The cross-Straits Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA), Taiwan would be in ginancial dire strait long long time ago.

      Yet Taiwan benefits billions of US dollar from an agreement that China can easily discontinues.

      What takes?

      But a care of the well-being of the Taiwanese, blurred & katak included.
