Dr Mahathir should curse Sheraton Move perpetrators in Melaka: Zaid Ibrahim

Voters urged to show power-hungry traitors that they do not condone their actions

GEORGE TOWN – Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been asked to head to Melaka as polling day looms to curse the individuals behind the infamous Sheraton Move that led to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.

In a passionate and gut-punching Facebook post today, former law minister Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim said the Langkawi MP should take a cue from the legendary folklore of Mahsuri who had cursed the island – which as a result apparently neither prospered, nor progressed for seven generations.

“I call upon the Langkawi MP to curse the traitors behind the Sheraton Move, just as Mahsuri did.

“With the curse by Dr Mahathir, the seven generations of those in Umno, Bersatu, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, and PAS will regress and be eliminated from the Malaysian political scene,” he said.

While Zaid acknowledged that Dr Mahathir and his Parti Pejuang Tanah Air do not want to be involved in the Melaka election, he said it is best that the nonagenarian drop by the state for a pitstop.

“Please head to the beach where Hang Tuah had bathed and throw a curse to the political traitors that have gathered in Melaka.

“Let the seven generations of these traitors remain defeated and thrown into the dirty drains in the state so that they will never ruin the future of Malaysia,” he said.

Zaid said the people have not had the opportunity to display their sentiments towards the architects behind the Sheraton Move.

“The despicable acts by the traitors have yet to be punished by the rakyat.

“Their betrayal towards Dr Mahathir and (Datuk Seri) Anwar Ibrahim have not been answered.

“The Melaka election would be the first opportunity for the people to do that. This Saturday, the people will have the opportunity to teach these leaders that those who do not have loyalty, honour, and (who) retain their power through lies and deceit, will never last long.”

The former Kota Baru MP opined that parties cursed by Dr Mahathir would suffer major losses not only in Melaka, but during the general election as well.

“They keep selling cheap politics on the pretence of defending Islam and race, fighting corruption, and so on. But they only want to preserve their self-interests.

“What has PAS done in Kelantan and Terengganu? The poor population has increased, so have the social ills. The divorce rate and drug abuse cases remain high.

“What has PAS done? They blame the people for not understanding religion. Water supply remains inadequate in Kota Baru, as PAS only knows how to organise prayers. PAS only knows how to ban any activity that they do not subscribe to without taking into account public interest,” he said.

Training his guns on Umno and Bersatu, Zaid said both parties are at odds with each other because they lust for power.

“But they can’t even handle the price of chicken. The prices of other necessities have also shot up.

“They are unable to raise workers’ wages. All they can manage is to purchase (Toyota) Vellfire cars for its ministers, and appoint dozens of advisers to the ministers with fat salaries. They are shameless. They do not have any empathy towards the poor. They shout in Parliament because they do not have the brains to answer politely and with decorum,” he said.

Zaid urged Melaka voters to show this group of power-hungry traitors that the people do not condone their actions.

“There are parties who have asked for anti-hopping laws so that defections stop. To me, the best medicine to deter political defectors is for the people to reject them during elections.

“When Melaka rejects parties such as Umno, Bersatu, PAS, and Azmin, then the issue involving party defections will automatically end in the country. That will put an end to the Sheraton Move on Malaysian soil.” – The Vibes, November 18, 2021
