Hisham's 'flight' leaves PKR behind

Malaysiakini - MH370 briefing: Pakatan MPs fume over snub

It's flabbergasting, shocking and outrageously un-Westminster-ly for acting Transport Minister Hishamuddin Hussein to hold a closed door Transport Ministry briefing on MH370 for ONLY BN MPs. Pakatan MPs have been ignored in an unprecedented manner, and PKR Ms Fuziah Salleh as Sim Tze Tzin have both voiced their annoyance at Hisham's silly game.

Usually, in such parliamentary closed door briefing there is an unwritten code for MP not to discuss the contents of the briefing in public nor for any MP to express publicly his or her opinion on it, for the precise reason the briefing is one behind CLOSED DOOR, meaning the information is confidential and should therefore be treated as such.

Obviously Hishamuddin doesn't trust Pakatan MPs to honour that code, anticipating they'll use the information to embarrass him and Najib, or that they'll jeer at him out of disbelief (wakakaka) during the briefing.

So based purely on his distrust, he has done the unprecedented, by leaving them behind on his 'flight' briefing.

PKR: We want in
Hisham: Sorry, the flight is full

wakakaka

While his distrust of the other side of politics (and vice versa) is the outcome of our terribly tattered and toxic state of politics, nonetheless Hishamuddin shouldn't have done such a shameful silly act.

  4. If you ask me if it is fair for Hishamuddin to shut the PR MP's out of a closed doors briefing,I will give you a straight answer.Yes,he should. At times like this,a national disaster or tragedy,we should all come together as a people. But the PR people would instead like to play politics, making fun of everything.Stupid idiots and morons these people

  5. Talking about the toxic politics in the country.
There is a whole world of difference between the innane comments by anonymous ids on social media, who some may characterise as "PR supporters" and the divisive behaviour of the King's Ministers.
For a few, very few days I had thought.....maybe Hisham is getting better as he started to find his balance facing the International press. Fat hopes. He and the whole bunch of BN/UMNO clowns are back to their games of secrecy and authoritarianism.
Which , by the way, the International community had a taste of last week , exactly the kind of nonsense which Malaysians face day in , day out.

Should all MPs have been invited to the confidential briefing ? Absolutely.
All the MPs are duly elected People's representatives, put there by the voters in each constituency.

    1. If you have read through the hijacking of Air France to Entebbe nong nong time ago, you would have known that the leader of the opposition was part of the Isreali cabinet deliberation to launch a counter rescue of its citizen in Uganda. Yitzhak Rabin got unanimous support from his cabinet as well as the opposition leader.......See the difference.......Oh by the way, singapore armed forces were first trained by the Israelis......hehehe

    2. I think we have to give him/them space. I believe he/they all are doing their very best. There are times when we have to work in a 'straightjacket' condition. Evidences so far are pointing more towards air piracy/hijacking. I believe it has got nothing to do with the crew or the two pilots.

We will just have to wait. What we do not want is Flight MH370 suddenly reappeared and loaded with WMD and deliberately crash into any city in the world.

Hang on. Out thoughts and prayers are always with the passengers and crew - hopefully they are all still alive and well. Amin..

  6. ""all right, good night"...the last words heard from Pilot? CoPilot? of MH370.
This is a bit odd, but by notnecessarily anything wrong.
Comms between Aircraft and Ground control are usually very standardised, dry and direct. It is so standardised that pilots who are not that fluent in English can handle it
Nothing unfriendly , but no friendly chatter either.

Was this meant to be the last farewell of a flyer signing off permanently ?

    1. I don't wanna speculate on that as many people especially experienced pilots says that nothing wrong with that

Can't thse clowns ever get it right ?

All air traffic communication between aircraft and ground control are tape recorded.
All air traffic control radar tracking is recorded, usually on computer hard disks, these days.

Sh*t - the difference in the sequence of events is crucial.
Why can't these idiots get it right ?

Please take your so-called "good to the nation" with you to hell.....the days of what the government knows best is over except in Umno Malaysia, North Korea and some such like tight-ass countries. 11. I've been on the ground in many of the areas of nothern Peninsular Malaysia that MH370 reportedly flew over. Mobile phone reception is actually patchy or non-existent in many areas. Much of it is high mountain or isolated rural area, except near to the Western seaboard along the Penang-Alor Setar corridor.

Mobile phone signals don't really get a good reception from 35,000 feet.
I should know - I accidentally left one on during a domestic flight. A missed call SMS only got triggered when the plane was coming in to land, which was when I heard it, rather embarassed.
