KUALA LUMPUR – “Truly a testing time for me and family.”

This is how Datuk Mohd Nizar Najib, son of Datuk Seri Najib Razak, described their ordeal after the former prime minister began his 12-year prison sentence upon losing his appeal against corruption convictions yesterday.

Despite being terribly saddened by the court’s decision, Nizar said, his family will continue to defend and assist Najib.

In a Facebook post today, he said Najib had given his all to defend himself in court but the verdict was ostensibly not in his favour.

“Those who follow the case closely can draw their own conclusions.

“However, we need to be confident in the provisions and plans of Allah, the Almighty,” he said.

Yesterday, Najib became the first former Malaysian prime minister to serve jail time, following the Federal Court’s decision to uphold the high court’s previous ruling that he was guilty of all seven charges in his case related to SRC International Bhd.

The five-member bench chaired by Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat upheld the decision on Najib’s conviction of all seven charges and his 12-year prison sentence.

Nizar said all parties can learn from Najib’s immediate rise after the 14th general election in May 2018.

“Even though, at that time, some thought my father was no longer relevant and was abandoned by many, he was still able to rise again with the ‘Bossku’ (a moniker given to Najib) phenomenon and a solid social media movement.

“With his fighting spirit, he was able to help the Barisan Nasional and Umno machineries win and recapture seats and states in a series of by-elections and state elections.” – The Vibes, August 24, 2022

  1. Jibby has no apparent heir from his children!

But he has a powerful hen that can surely beat manmanlai's tiny & inconsequential wife hands down.

Would those Bossku myrmidons raise the flag for this fat ass for a political career?

Ooop… must find a way to clear her equally opulent & lining-her-pocket corruption trials first.
