Dark Times was from 1981 to 2003

I have decided NOT to publish the piece of news "warning Malaysians of dark times"

  1. Dark Times Ahead for UN……

🇬🇾 Guyana's Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett is running to become next UN chief.

    Her record:
❌ Abstained on every resolution holding Syria's Assad regime accountable
❌ Abstained on every resolution holding Iran accountable
❌ Voted for every anti-American and anti-Israel resolution

Apparently to grow within the UN you have to be anti-America and anti-Israel.

I don’t know why any Western country would bother remaining a member of the UN, if she becomes the new chief. It’s beyond absurd, already.

    1. So, what about all those previously UN chiefs who were subservient, openly & subtly, to the Yankee's agendas?

  2. Malaysia came closest to being an authoritarian autocracy during the Mahathir era.
Reports of wrongdoing by favoured persons had Investigations suppressed. All kinds of favours as well as pressures were made on behalf of connected persons.
Critics had knocks in their door at midnight ; investigations were targeted without basis....
Not all was bad. Malaysia did a better job directing its oil revenues than many other countries ..Not like Norway, but certainly better spent than Indonesia or even Britain.
A lof of rural schools , hospitals and roads were built with oil revenues. Rural Malaysia , outside of KL, Penang or Ipoh, even in the Peninsular was very much a 3rd World country in the 1960s and 1970s.
The Penang Bridge made a huge difference to Penang's development. The North South Highway was world-class, even today my foreign visitors praise it.
