BEIJING, Jan 22 — China’s foreign ministry said ‌on Thursday that “the ‍so-called China threat” was groundless ‌in response to Nato saying negotiations ‍on Greenland with the US are aimed at ensuring Russia and China never gain a foothold in ‍the ‍island.

“China opposes the practice of creating something out of nothing and using China as ‌an excuse for selfish gain,” Guo Jiakun, ‍a spokesperson for ‌the ‍ministry, said ‍at a press briefing. — Reuters

    2. China has openly stated that it has rights in the Arctic region as an "Arctic State".
There is not a single.square inch of internationally recognised China sovereign territory in the Arctic region, so it is obvious China has imperial territorial designs in the Arctic region.

Defenceless Greenland is an obvious weak point.

    5. The Spitsbergen Treaty of 9 February 1920, recognises the full and absolute sovereignty of Norway over all the arctic archipelago of Svalbard. The exercise of sovereignty is, however, subject to certain stipulations, and not all Norwegian law applies. Originally limited to nine signatory nations, over 40 are now signatories of the treaty. Citizens of any of the signatory countries may settle in the archipelago. All 40 signatory countries of the treaty have the right to conduct commercial activities on the archipelago without discrimination, although all activity is subject to Norwegian legislation.

Although this archipelago is located in Northern Europe, Chinese people still have the right to use this land through the rights embedded within that treaty. Moreover, this small island is the only place overseas where Chinese citizens can freely enter, leave, and stay.

So, mfer knows the real geopolitical history before u fart.

BTW, Spitsbergen is a demilitarized zone, as the treaty prohibits the establishment of military installations. Although Norway is now part of the EU, Svalbard is not part of the Schengen Area.

    6. Spitzbergen Treaty 1920 ?

That was signed by the then Republic of China, which the CCP denies is a legitimate government.

How hypocritical CCP denies the legitimacy of the Republic of China, but conveniently takes up rights under treaties signed by the Republic of China when it benefits the CCP.

  2. Eastern Bully always say Taiwan is an internal matter - don’t interfere.

Greenland is part of North America, “governed” by Denmark, “protected” by NATO. Don’t interfere.

  4. TS, Taiwan is indeed an internal affair for China. You seem to not know the basic history ( std 1 level ) of how Taiwan was formed but you are so brainwashed by the western media. What about Western bully kidnapping Maduro? In your brainwashed brain, I am sure you are proud of this.

Eastern Bully oso kidnap leaders whom they see as threat.

Learn From History. And have Open and Fair Mind.

After CCP RAMPAS Tibet the Dalai Lama sought refuge and was given asylum in lovely Yindia. But CCP always see him as a threat as well as successor Dalai Lamas.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forcibly kidnapped Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the 11th Panchen Lama (Tibetan Buddhism's second-highest figure), and his family in May 1995, just days after the 14th Dalai Lama recognized him as the reincarnation, an act Beijing rejected, installing its own proxy Panchen Lama, while Nyima remains missing, a key move by China to control Tibetan spiritual succession. Various sources report that Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, recognized as the 11th Panchen Lama by the Dalai Lama, disappeared in May 1995, shortly after his recognition. Chinese authorities state that he and his family are living a normal life and do not wish to be disturbed, while international human rights organizations and the Tibetan exile community continue to raise concerns about his whereabouts and well-being. At the same time, the Chinese government installed Gyaincain Norbu as the 11th Panchen Lama. This has led to a disputed succession within Tibetan Buddhism, with the majority of Tibetans recognizing Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, while the Chinese government supports Gyaincain Norbu.

  8. China is taking full advantage of the ongoing geopolitical chaos and silently building artificial islands in the South China Sea, while the global focus is shifted elsewhere!

Satellite images confirm China's increased land reclaimation activities at both Paracel and Spratly islands archipelagos.

  9. Just because some random fisherman caught a fish there 500 years ago does not make the sea yours. Many more of our fishermen caught fish there too.
