Abah tahu UMNO nak hentam PPBM kau-kau di Melaka, sekarang takut-panik sangat

Muhyiddin riled by BN’s refusal to collaborate, says Khaled

Khaled Nordin says Muhyiddin Yassin’s Bersatu-led coalition should just focus on promoting itself and what it can do if it wins the Melaka polls.

PETALING JAYA: Muhyiddin Yassin’s recent attacks on Barisan Nasional highlight Bersatu’s frustration with the coalition’s refusal to work with them, an Umno vice-president said.

Khaled Nordin also said it showed that Bersatu and, by extension, Perikatan Nasional were panicking.

“It’s puzzling that they are hitting out at Umno to woo voters instead of telling the electorate about what the party can do over the next five years should they win in Melaka,” he told FMT.

Khaled said if PN was truly prepared for the polls, it should just focus on promoting itself and what it can do for Melaka.

“There’s no need to attack Umno.”

Talking about the country’s changing political landscape on Thursday, Muhyiddin was reported to have said that BN’s time had come to an end.

This led BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to slam the former prime minister, saying it vindicated Umno’s decision not to work with Bersatu in the next general election.

He also said he was disappointed that Muhyiddin had hurled such an insult at BN as the Bersatu president had made his name in the political arena with the help and support of the BN grassroots.

Meanwhile, Umno Supreme Council member Puad Zakarshi said there was no reason for some of the party’s leaders to worry about going against PN in the polls following Muhyiddin’s outright attack.

“We should go all out against Bersatu now,” he said in a Facebook post.
