Maszlee quits Dr M’s Pejuang

Maszlee Malik says his decision to leave Pejuang is based on ‘detailed observations and field research’ of the people’s aspirations and needs

PETALING JAYA: Simpang Renggam MP Maszlee Malik has quit Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s new party Pejuang.

In a statement, the former education minister said his decision was based on “detailed observations and field research” of the people’s aspirations and needs.

This comes amid speculation over his status in the party after his name was missing from a joint press release from all Pejuang MPs yesterday.
