Treating new IGP as a personal staff

Malaysiakini - After Dr M's royal swipe, Kadir asks IGP to 'reopen probe' (extracts)

A Kadir Jasin, mouthpiece of Mahathir

The conflict between Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the Johor palace is showing no signs of abating.

In a Facebook posting this evening, his communication and media advisor A Kadir Jasin waded into the issue again, hours after his boss' excoriation of Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.

Although he did not mention names, it was obvious his target was Tunku Ismail since he referred to the latter's earlier remarks and Mahathir's description of the prince as a “little boy.”

Kadir requested the new Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador to “reopen the IP (investigation papers) which were frozen or closed.”

However, the veteran newsman did not elaborate.

He also asked the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) to check how much in taxes has Mados Sdn Bhd paid after being in business for “hundreds of years.”

Mados Sdn Bhd belongs to the Johor royal family. According to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), the nature of business is stated as property investment, provision of management services, timber logging and quarry operation.

This was how the earlier regime of Mahathir had operated, as in Ops Lalang, Memali, Sodomy I, etc. The PM spoke, the IGP acted.

Kadir Jasin committed such a Freudian slip in calling upon the new IGP and IRB to "probe" into the Johor Royal House's affairs, as if the two (IGP and IRB) are belongings of Mahathir to do his imperialistic majesty's (Mahathir's) bidding.

What a nasty action, ensuing from a nasty precedent.

  1. I disagree. In the New Malaysia the IGP is a civil servant to all Malaysians, of which Kadir Jasin is one. He is not alone. Just read the comments on the social media.

Better listen or ignore what he says at your own peril.

Isn't Kadir saying on behalf of TDM, the PM, as his media and communication adviser?

Isn't IGP and IRB indirectly under PM control via his Cabinet of Ministers since the old days?

So, Kadir does have the standing to say what he wants with the authority and power behind his appointment.

On the other hand, compare that with what some politicians (like Lokman, Papagomo, Asyraf, Jamal, some Arabs look alike etc), bloggers (like RPK, Helen, Jocelyn, Ti, Ridzuan, Kangkung professors etc) or some Muftis and Lebais who speaks as if they represent all the Malays or all the Moslems or all Malaysians and expects to be heard by all and sundry. All of them don't realise that whatever they say do not carry much weight nowadays except among themselves and a handfull of their zombies or dedak induced supporters. Whoever is keeping them on the payroll sure ain't getting any tangible returns for their self appointed overly glorified roles. All mostly cari makan types until the Moolah runs dry and suddenly become muted or dumb.

Kadir, Rais, Rafidah, Daim etc are all Ceasar's old Imperial Guards who just carry out his orders and march into battle when ordered.

That is sure a big difference.

  4. The JRF (Johor Royal Family) has many, many skeletons from the Najib era, and before that.

This is a welcome shot across the bow, you stir up shit against the PH government, we can stir plenty trouble for you.

If the Royals remained in their proper Constitutional Monarchy role, no such trouble would have arisen.
