KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng called today for an investigation into a government letter to the US intelligence agency that purportedly sought support for Datuk Seri Najib Razak just days before the May 9 general election.
Lim who is also Bagan MP said there were many questions surrounding the issuance of such a letter as it concerned Malaysia’s sovereignty.
“Was this letter sent to other countries? Are there any more letters?” Lim told reporters in the Parliament lobby here.
The letter to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was supposedly written by a senior government official in the Prime Minister’s Department during the Najib administration.

When the opposition questioned the PH government in Parliament on the purported Mahathir's request to Japan for so-called 'soft yen loans', Guan Eng was NOT allowed to answer that.
Mahathir seized control of that finance question to answer all by himself when it actually fell within the domain of a so-called Finance Minister, who is in reality just a L'il Boy Blue.
Was it because Mahathir did NOT trust L'il Boy Blue to answer "correctly" (he not knowing what the fCk was going on) or was it because the area of de facto 'finance' was not Guan Eng's to answer?
That confirmed Guan Eng was just a bookkeeper and not the de facto (but only the de jure 'window dressing') FM.
Guan Eng's principal job is to examine so-called "red files" and char koay teow anything to do with Najib, as in the above news report.

Tell me, what the fCk has an alleged letter from the PM's Dept (of previous PM) to the CIA letter got to do with a country's Finance Minister?
Shouldn't that be the job of the Foreign Minister, Abdullah Saifuddin, or the Home Minister, Moody (temporarily replaced by Mahathir himself)?

Guan Eng's over-eagerness to demand an investigation into that letter when it's not within his Finance domain (which he seems not to have any substantial control thus far) proves solidly he's just the Minister of the so-called "Red Files", to wit, the char koay teow boy of Mahathir.

ReplyDeleteBagan MP Lim Guan Eng, representing Bagan voters, has a right to demand answers on what appears to be an act of Treason by elements of the Najib Administration, perhaps under instruction from Najib himself.
The Yen Loans soft-loans request to Japan was made by Mahathir during his visit. So it behoves Mahathir to answer it.
If Lim Guan Eng had answered instead, I am sure Ktemoc would surely have attacked from another angle, implying Lim Guan Eng is answering when the PM who made the request should answer it.

This blog wants the Harapan cabinet to practice the “First Amongst Equals” principle. All Ministers are Equal. Teamwork and collective responsibility, each Minister can back each other up. Since the reporter asked LGE about the CIA letter he give his answer lah. This was in the Parliament lobby, outside the men’s room. Sovereignty of Malaysia is every Cabinet Minister’s responsibility.

Daim’s visit earlier this month to Beijing and his meeting with PM Li Keqiang (the No.2 guy) was only the “entre” to the main course, a full delegation visit to the Middle Kingdom, seeking debt forgiveness, cooperation with Geely on the new National/ASEAN Car project and much much more. In September he will lead another delegation to the US, while attending the UN General Assembly and perhaps (Saifuddin working hard on this) a visit to the White House, to pay homage to yet another superpower. And perhaps a stopover or two in Europe to meet other leaders on the way home.
