The weaker SEX?

Seems they like to bully women, sweeties like Nik Raina, Aisyah Tajuddin and if you still remember, Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarnor.

The persecution (not prosecution) of Nik Raina is probably the worst case of misusing the name of religion to intimidate a woman. Jawi obviously wants to punish her as manager of Borders KL for selling banned books even though Jawi's prohibition on those books was issued only 6 days after they had raided Borders and charged her.

Who the fuck knew the books were banned, certainly not sweetie. Maybe they had expected sweetie to see into the future, using Raja Bomoh's twin-kelapa crystal ball.

But both the civil and syariah court had the sense to dismiss the charges against her, though I wonder why the syariah court's dismissal was qualified that it did not amount to an acquittal despite and in spite of the sequence of events which led to the stupid charge was evidently clear she was totally innocent.

Wait, there's more. FMT reported on another sin of the syariah court prosecutor, in personally serving notice of appeal on her on Friday in what was seen as a further act of intimidation.

Nik Raina, 38, broke down and wept in her office after she received the notice of appeal, which had been served on her instead of through her lawyer, Malaysiakini reported.

Her boss, Yau Su Peng, was quoted as saying: “I can’t help but wonder if that action was meant to further intimidate Nik Raina. She is understandably upset over this.”

Their aim seems to be to intimidate her even if that requires breach of legal procedures. They don't seem to care about the law unless the law allows them to bully their targeted victims. Yes, the aim would seem to be that, frighten the sh*t out of women, hopefully punish her and terrify the rest of the public into obeying, complying and stuff far worse, and not about legal justice, that she was innocent.

Stuff far worse? Remember the Zouk nightclub case? See the BBC report on that infamous raid. What shame it brought for Malaysia.

Another was the Jais Gombak lechery case in 2006 - we read in NST about the lustful leery lascivious behaviour of a Jais officer who caught an unfortunate woman for khalwat.

The poor sweetie had gone to Jais office in Gombak the day after her embarrassing encounter with Jais, in a vain hope to 'settle' the case amicably. However, she claimed she got more than she bargained for.

She was molested and forced to perform oral sex on said Jais officer as an inducement to let her off the hook. She also alleged the officer used criminal force to outrage her modesty by caressing her breasts and kissing her on the lips.

I wonder whether that animal was ever charged in court?

So much for these local 'warriors' who dare claim to fight for Islam, and who had on a number of occasions resorted to violence even on minor infringements such as khalwat - read this. Obviously those officers love to flex their muscles.

Hence it isn't too surprising after all that we see the current persistent harassment of Nik Raina of Borders.

Recall this one, where the Mufti of Kelantan, Mohamad Shukri Mohamad,  who eight years ago in 2006, then as the deputy mufti of Kelantan told Berita Harian that wives would be deemed to be unjust and abusive if they cannot satisfy their husbands' sexual needs.

Wakakaka, but it's always women who are to be blamed and bullied.

Wakakaka again, abusive in sexual needs?

In his (note ‘his’ and not 'the') most brilliant exposition of Islamic doctrines, he explained that in a marriage, it's not always the wives who were abused as it could also happen to the husbands. He advised that Islamic laws protect both women and men.

He warned: "Thus wives who do not provide proper care for their husbands, including not fulfilling their sexual needs, can be considered as being unjust and abusive towards their husbands."

"These women can be charged under Section 128 (1) of the Kelantan Islamic Law Enactment 2002, which provides for a fine of RM 1,000 or jail of up to six months or both upon conviction."

But in a manner not unusual of either important big shots (CEOs, ministers, etc) or impossible big bullshitters, he skipped the details, yup, by neglecting to elaborate on how the courts would determine any husband’s claims of his wife failing to satisfy his sexual needs as per, wakakaka, Section 128 (1) of the Kelantan Islamic Law Enactment 2002.

As we know, some husbands may have excessive sexual needs, so the poor wives could be required to perform to super-human standards, you know, 'above and beyond' the call of duty.

Dahleeng, use a Kryptonite to 'soften' his super sex needs, wakakaka

If their wives cannot satisfy their super sexual needs, would those poor wives be still deemed as unjust and abusive as per, wakakaka again, Section 128 (1) of the Kelantan Islamic Law Enactment 2002 by this mufti?

But truthfully, I would be very interested in how he would impartially gauge that a husband has attained sexual satisfaction in his legal act of consummation. I've been informed that in the West it's supposedly measured by how loud the man (or woman) screams 'OH GOD', wakakaka again.

perhaps inspiring the drafting of an Enactment, wakakaka

Or would he just rely on the hubby's say-so, that the undutiful wife should be jailed for 6 months while hubby gets a new young doll of a wife?

Poor Malaysian women.

And it seems SEX SEX SEX would always be in the picture if you were to read Malaysiakini's K'tan deputy MB admits error on 'unnatural sex'.

We gather from Kelantan's Deputy MB Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah that: "Some scholars argue that since wives belong to their husbands, their husbands can do as they like."

The wife belongs to the husband and he can do as he likes? Wow. Incidentally, he was referring to anal sex between the married couple.

And he added that this wife-as-a-chattel (mere property) comes from the differences of interpretation of the Quranic verse which states that "wives are tilths for their husbands", and therefore, they can approach their wives in any sexual manner they choose.

And on that let me remind wives that the Mufti of Kelantan, Mohamad Shukri Mohamad had already warned that "... wives who do not provide proper care for their husbands, including not fulfilling their sexual needs, can be considered as being unjust and abusive towards their husbands."

"These women can be charged under Section 128 (1) of the Kelantan Islamic Law Enactment 2002, which provides for a fine of RM 1,000 or jail of up to six months or both upon conviction."

  1. A research paper in the US once found that the average male thinjs about sex every 10 seconds if there is a woman close to him whom he finds attractive.
If there is no woman around the rate falls to once a minute....wakakakaka.

    2. The guys, all in their 20's, single, were each given a small electronic counter. They were asked to squeeze the button every time they had a sexually-oriented thought. The signal was captured each time.

During the course of the day, they were observed in various social contexts..
Meeting attractive women - including in serious, work-related situations, just plain women, mixed groups in totally non-sexual situations, alone, watching TV etc.

      The results were quite revealing...wakakkaka..

One result found is that attractive women can be very distracting to young men, even when the woman could be seriously discussing business risks and opportunities or engineering decisions or mathematical equations....every few seconds they could end up thinking some lascivious thoughts.....wakakakkaka....

  2. 1. "002.223 Your women are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth as ye will, and send (good deeds) before you for your souls, and fear Allah, and know that ye will (one day) meet Him. Give glad tidings to believers". (arabic word 'nisa' means women).

Definition of TILTH. 1: cultivated land : tillage. 2: the state of aggregation of a soil especially in relation to its suitability for crop growth.

a). back passage is not for cultivating. b) 'go to your tilth as ye will' - refer kamasutra tips.

    2. how about rights of women? see below,

'They are raiment for you and ye are raiment for them' (002.187).

so, is section 128 (1) of the kelantan islamic law enactment 2002 from allah?

    3. the enactment, i think can be inappropriately used by irresponsible or opportunistic husbands to 'blackmail' (license?) their wives into submission.

    1. kampong lad, your interpretation of "tilth" and women's rights are enlightening miles ahead of and far more accurate than the PAS intrepretation which I wouldn't be surprised if the latter has been influenced by PAS' notorious misogynistic mindset. You have restore credibility to Islam whilst PAS has gone the other f* way. Well done bro

    2. The objectionable attitudes towards women among Islamic authorities is much wider than PAS.
      JAWI is not PAS.
The Zouk incident is not PAS.
The Mufti of Kelantan is not PAS

Not trying to defend PAS. Just want to make sure we don't misunderstand the guts of the matter.

    3. The subject of the status of women in Islam is a broad one, and many just pick and choose.
Kampong lad has only chosen a few "good bits' on Islam about women.
There is plenty else which does not smell as good.
This one is a more balanced survey.

    4. Kt, about syariah law especially the hudud portion (punishment for crimes), I am not trying to be ‘kaypoh’ or ‘memandai mandai’ becos 1. I am just a kampong bloke, 2. tidak ada kuasa & 3. Tidak ada tauliah. (not commissioned or no credentials). As a submitter, I feel that it is my duty and responsibility to correct misconceptions of non-muslims about islam. Whether they want to believe or disbelieve, it is allah’s call. Forget about ‘them’. Now let me try to enlighten (to get back on track) some concerns Anonymous8:37 am, March 23, 2015 may have. Pls bear with me. Following are quranic verses;

006.114 Shall I seek other than Allah for judge, when He it is Who hath revealed unto you (this) Scripture, fully explained ? Those unto whom We gave the Scripture (aforetime) know that it is revealed from thy Lord in truth. So be not thou (O Muhammad) of the waverers.

009.031 They have taken as lords beside Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One God. There is no God save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!

007.185 Have they not considered the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and what things Allah hath created, and that it may be that their own term draweth nigh ? In what fact (HADITH in arabic) after this will they believe ?.

039.023 Allah hath (now) revealed the fairest of statements, (HASANUL HADITH in Arabic) a Scripture consistent, (wherein promises of reward are) paired (with threats of punishment), whereat doth creep the flesh of those who fear their Lord, so that their flesh and their hearts soften to Allah's reminder. Such is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whom He will. And him whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide.

031.006 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech (LAHWAUL HADITH in arabic) to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.

    5. I don’t find it strange, neither am I angry nor go haywire when non-muslims make negative remarks about islam. To the contrary, it gives me an opportunity to correct their perceptions.

Wiki says; Women in Islam are guided by primary Islamic sources of personal law, namely the Quran and hadiths, as well as secondary sources such as the ijma, qiyas, ijtihad in form such as fatwas; the secondary sources vary with various sects of Islam and schools of jurisprudence (madhhab).

My comments; it is impossible to construct a building to make it stand 180% upright when its foundation ‘senget’. You be the judge after reading the verses above.

Hadiths; here it means the sayings of the prophet. The so-called renowned collectors did not exist during the prophet’s time. Those are collections of narrators’ stories. (your grandfather heard from his mother who heard from her granduncle who heard from his auntie, so on & so forth). One of them is the famous al-bukhari.

He was a persian hailed from bukhara district born in 810 died in 870 reportedly collected about 600,000 stories all from narrators. (you can do your own calculation on how many stories he collected in a day – bear in mind that the ‘canggih’ (sophisticated) mode of transport were camels and there were no one-stop centres for the task). his time and the prophet’s is about 230 years apart which is about 6 generations. since some of the stories which he collected thru a chain of narrators make me puzzle & are beyond my comprehension, i think what he did (collection of stories) was just to make himself busy. there were no records about his marital status nor his family. bachelor boy’s hobby, maybe.

don’t forget that lots of muslims in medina then were formerly christians, jews, pagans, zoroastrians etc. therefore, i am not surprised when their traditions had some influence and commingled with islamic’s way of life and practiced until today. Some did not become muslims voluntarily and sincerely.

some of his collected stories are demeaning and criticizing the prophet and his beloved family members & friends. so, you can suspect the source. However, such stories could be collected by some other people and attributed them to him. (guna nama si pitung). This kind of behavior is also happening in our daily life, e.g, if I tell you something, and then you agree to what I said, I will tell people that kt yg cakap.

Allow me to touch on a few of non-muslims’ misunderstanding.

      1. two female witnesses equal to one male witness; It is due to biological factor, if you know what I mean. This is the verse;

‘if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her’.

      2. heritage – female portion is half of the male’s. it is hers 100%, while it is male’s responsibility to support his family. No sin &/or crime committed if she elects to contribute.

      3. Polygamy; this I can’t afford. That had been the practice of peoples before the prophet. Islam restricts to four maximum at any one time.

      4. Age of marriage; this is a ‘lesen besar’ given by al-bukhari to sex maniacs to rape under-aged ‘women’ legally. As I commented in your article (tak ingat the title) that binatang pun are incapable to do such acts. Until today the historians still can’t confirm the actual age of aisya bt abu bakar, the prophet’s youngest wife. See what quran says;

004.006 And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up.

Some insist that the verse only applies to orphans. How about aisya then? she was married to the prophet with her father’s approval. Was the above condition not complied? Exception? As a father, would you want to do it? Even orphans are protected.

    6. Back to the collected sayings of deeds of the prophet. (hadith & sunnah). Many claim that these are used to interpret and explain quranic verses, therefore become part of allah’s words. (the number of hadith collected is fewer than the verses of quran. I am referring to the bukhari’s authentic collection. (after the 600,000 had gone thru filtering process which I have reservations and questions about the benchmark used then – you can refer wiki for the methodology adopted). So, where are the missing ones?

      I am of the opinion that ahadith are to affirm (validate, confirm) the quranic verses, and cannot be used for interpretations. Allah’s words are the ones that do the interpretation. I can prove it. A prayer will not be valid without saying it; this is an example;

001.001 In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
001.002 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
      001.003 The Beneficent, the Merciful.
001.004 Master of the Day of Judgment,
001.005 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
001.006 Show us the straight path,
001.007 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.

some opine there are 3 routes, i.e. 1. straight, 2. favored and 3. Disfavored/go astray/caused allah’s anger. in fact, there are only 2, i.e. either you are on track or derailed. so, the favored path is to interprete/explain the straight one.

      Enough for now. Cheers!

    8. Tuan Kampong Lad,

Terima kasih for your contribution to the discussion.

It seems quite a lot of people, including some Muslims, believe in the claim that when a Muslim died in a jihad fighting for Allah, he would be rewarded with 72 beautiful virgins.

Is this true? Is there a verse in the Quran that mentions this?

      Guisar

      Delete
    9. hi Guisar, i am not tuan, just a kampong bloke. if you read history of islam especially the prophet's battles, they we many women participated and some were killed in the process. if 72 virgins were promised to male martyrs, the female ones must also be promised with, maybe 72 virgin angels? (angels are sexless anyway).remember, allah is compassionate, just in rewards & punishments, never breaks his promises and the other important thing is he never discriminates race, gender etc. Allah accepts only from those who ward off (evil). (taqwa). - both males & females. allah respects & recognizes human's as well as women's rights.

jihad or holy war - there are prescribed strict conditions that are to be met before such war is waged. what is happening in the palestine is not a jihad, nevertheless, the palestinians have every right to defend their lives & properties. unless israel declares war against islam, then it will be different story altogether. they will never do that becos of their 'kiasi' attitude.

is or isis or boko haram or their equivalent, to me they are all bani syaitan. there is a specific quranic verse that is referred to them, 'leaders calling to hellfire'.

alamak, terlupa pulak that i'm not commissioned nor accredited to say all these things, but since i've already keyed-in, so let it be!

  5. Nik Raina was expected to be duly submissive, regretful, apologetic, contrite. It could have been settled amicably.
Instead , she stood her ground , insisting on standing for her legal rights in Civil court, together with the Borders management.

The Syariah court is going after her in her personal capacity, as she is deemed to her committed wrong against Islam.

  7. Women are supposed to be obedient and submit to the authority of their men in Islam.
Actually, all the statements below are specific to governing relations between women and their husbands, and their fathers for unmarried women.

This has grown to general attitudes towards women in society and in the workplace.

    The Qur'an:
Qur'an (4:34) - "Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them."

Qur'an (2:228) - "and the men are a degree above them"

Qur'an (33:59) - "Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them..." Men determine how women dress.

Qur'an (33:33) - "And abide quietly in your homes..." Women are confined to their homes except when they have permission to go out.

Qur'an (2:223) - "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will." Wives are to be sexually available to their husbands in all ways at all times. They serve their husbands at his command. This verse is believed to refer to anal sex (see Bukhari 60:51), and was "revealed" when women complained to Muhammad about the practice. The phrase "when and how you will" means that they lost their case.

Qur'an (66:5) - "Maybe, his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your place wives better than you, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, adorers, fasters, widows and virgins" A disobedient wife can be replaced.
