Trump says will ‘soon’ declare Hormuz strait US territory

The US and Iran remain in a standoff over the Strait of Hormuz, with Iran restricting civilian shipping and the US blockading Iranian ports

WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump on Friday said he would “soon” declare the Strait of Hormuz waterway part of US territory after defeating Iran.

“After we finish defeating Iran, which is being very badly defeated – pretty soon I’ll be declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory of the United States,” he said with a chuckle during a political rally at a police academy in New York state.

“It’s true,” he added.

Trump, together with Israel, launched a war against Iran on Feb 28 with the stated aims of ending the country’s controversial nuclear programme and sparking a popular uprising.

However, Iran struck back by establishing de facto control over much of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passageway for large amounts of global energy and other commodity shipping.

The US remains locked in a stalemate with Iran over the strait, with Iran denying access to much of the civilian shipping and the US Navy mounting a blockade of Iranian ports in an attempt to cripple its economy.

“We have the blockade. No ships get through unless we want them to,” Trump said to the cheering crowd of supporters and police.

  1. Russia Counters Ukraine’s Heavy Flamingo Missiles – Nearly All Shot Down Using A-50 Radar Planes

Russia is trying to counter Ukraine’s heavy FP‑5 Flamingo cruise missiles by sending almost its entire remaining fleet of A‑50U AWACS into the air.

On July 7, four A‑50Us were airborne at once — a sign of desperation.
Since early July, Russia has shot down 10 of 11 Flamingos. But the cost is huge: Russia has no more than five A‑50Us left, Ukraine has already destroyed several, and sanctions make new production nearly impossible.

    Flamingo is Ukraine’s long‑range sledgehammer:
    6 tons

    >1‑ton warhead
    thousands‑km range
ultra‑low flight → ground radar loses it

A‑50U can spot i but Russia is risking its last eyes in the sky. Ukraine only needs to hit one to break the entire Russian countermeasure.

  2. North Korea may send another 50,000 troops to Russia for the war against Ukraine, according to DW.

According to the publication, Pyongyang is preparing significantly larger reinforcements than during the previous phase of cooperation with Moscow. North Korea previously sent around 14,000–15,000 troops to the Kursk region.

The new North Korean troops may be deployed to the Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions, where they would hold the front lines, allowing Russian troops to be redeployed to Ukraine.

North Korea may also send engineers, construction workers, and female medical personnel to Russia.

No, Europe isn't sending soldiers to help Ukraine. Not gardeners or caretakers, either.
Europe is leaving Ukraine to defend Europe all on its own.
    Fuck Europe.

  3. 🇺🇸 BREAKING: US Lockheed Martin Unveils MORFIUS — The Drone Killer Built to Take Down Swarms

Lockheed Martin says its MORFIUS™ high power microwave system can neutralize more than 50 enemy drones in a single flight.

Instead of firing an interceptor at every target, MORFIUS uses directed microwave energy to defeat multiple unmanned aircraft, offering a potentially low cost per kill solution against mass drone attacks.

As drone swarms become larger and more autonomous, systems like MORFIUS are emerging as a key part of the next generation of counter UAS warfare.

  4. This Is Why RasPUTIN needs NK Help.....

⚡️JUST IN: Ukraine expects to eliminate at least 30,000 Russian troops in August

Meanwhile, one of Kyiv’s most pressing challenges remains funding its military.

“We need to cover the shortfall as much as possible. The amount is significant. Spending in the first half of the year was considerably higher. Now we face a new challenge — finding the additional funds we need,” the Ukrainian president said in his traditional evening address.
