Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel is “prepared to act more broadly” as settler attacks and military raids in the occupied West Bank continue.
Israeli soldiers storm the occupied West Bank city of Nablus in the early hours and detain about 40 Palestinians, including a woman and former prisoners.
The incursions come days after troops were deployed across the occupied territory following violence that killed four Palestinian villagers and two Israelis.
Palestinian officials say Israeli settlers forced their way into the village of Tal and were confronted by residents, igniting the deadly violence.

At least 60 people arrested in West Bank in recent hours: Monitor
The Palestinian Prisoners Club says the detained individuals included former Palestinian prisoners.
The arrests were concentrated in the occupied West Bank’s Nablus governorate where the Israeli army has been carrying out incursions.
Specifically in the town of Tal, large-scale raids and interrogations are taking place, according to the monitor group.
The number of those arrested in the town since Friday reached about 80, most of whom have since been released. About 18 Palestinians, including children, remain in detention.

Israeli army says strikes killed Hamas members in north Gaza
Hamas official Fares al-Masri was killed in an Israeli attack last Tuesday, the military says.
Al-Masri allegedly produced weapons as part of Hamas’s reconstruction efforts, it said.
Muhammad Abu Shakian, a member of Hamas’s Nukhba special forces, was killed in a separate attack in northern Gaza on Tuesday.
The two Hamas members “had recently acted to promote terrorist plots” against Israeli forces and citizens, the statement said.

Spain slams Israeli settler attacks on occupied West Bank
The Spanish government has reiterated its “strong condemnation of the ongoing violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers, who continue to act with impunity against the Palestinian population in the West Bank”.
“Yesterday, another indiscriminate settler attack resulted in the deaths of four Palestinian civilians and two Israeli settlers,” a statement said, referring to an incident on Friday during a settler assault on the village of Tal.
Spain called on Israel “to take the necessary steps to de-escalate the situation and ensure that those responsible for these attacks are brought to justice”.
It added Israel “must reverse its policies of settlement expansion and of shielding settler violence against the Palestinian civilian population, and fulfil its obligations as the occupying power in Palestine”.

Netanyahu says Israel ‘prepared to act more broadly’ in West Bank
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the threat during ongoing attacks by settlers and raids by the military in the occupied Palestinian territory.
“The instructions we gave were to enter villages, search them, seize weapons and make arrests,” Netanyahu told reporters.
He also said Israel is “prepared to act more broadly against terrorist strongholds”.

West Bank resident: ‘Every day we suffer Israeli violence and terror’
Issa Amro, founder of the group Youth Against Settlements, says ongoing Israeli attacks are nothing new but have intensified in recent months.
“Every day we suffer from Israel violence and terror and the army does nothing to protect Palestinians,” he told Al Jazeera.
“And if you try as a Palestinian to protect or defend your children, your house, your property, you will be attacked and you’ll be beaten, detained or shot.”
Amro said one settler returned to make threats at his home after beating him several weeks ago. “He told me, ‘I’m here to take your house and send you out, and the government is ours, the military and police is ours.’ This is what we call ethnic cleansing.”
He added that more than 20 Palestinian communities have been abandoned in recent years because of fears over Israeli attacks.
“They left their communities completely. We’re talking about hundreds of Palestinian families who left their homes, left their lands, their villages.”

Settler attacks surged during Israel’s war on Gaza
Abdel Azim Wadi, head of the village council in Qusra village, has confirmed Israeli settlers torched a mosque early on Sunday.
The attackers sprayed slogans in Hebrew on its walls with messages including “Jewish revenge” and the name of one of the Israelis killed near Tal.
“The village has faced repeated attacks since 2011 and these attacks have increased since the war [on Gaza],” Wadi told Reuters news agency by telephone.

Death toll from Israeli attacks on Gaza rises
Seven Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, with 36 others wounded.
The health ministry said two other Palestinians died from wounds suffered in previous Israeli army violence.
Israel’s genocidal war has killed at least 73,326 people and wounded 173,997 since October 7, 2023, the statement added.
Daily attacks since the “ceasefire” agreed on last October have killed at least 1,200 people and wounded 3,888.

Israeli strike kills 2 senior Gaza officials
The director of the internal security service in central Gaza has been killed along with another senior security official in the besieged Strip.
Colonel Wael Musa al-Ladawi and Major Ramez Tawfiq Abu Zureiq were killed in an Israeli air strike targeting their vehicle in Deir el-Balah, an interior ministry statement said.

Settlers caught on video setting Palestinian home ablaze
A surveillance camera has captured the moment Israeli settlers set fire to a Palestinian home in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
The video, published on local social media accounts, shows settlers attacking the house and setting part of it ablaze.
The settlers then fled after setting the house on fire, while Palestinian residents managed to control the fire and to limit the damage.

Ongoing medical neglect reported in Israel’s Negev prison
The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs says its lawyers have visited several prisoners held in Israel’s Negev prison.
The lawyers observed a continued deterioration in living and health conditions inside the facility, with repeated complaints of medical neglect, poor food and a lack of appropriate clothes for the season, Wafa news agency reported.
They also reported physical and verbal assaults against the five prisoners they visited.

Settler attacks on Palestinians surge 63% in first half of 2026
The steep increase has been recorded during the first six months of 2026, compared with the same period in 2025, Israeli Army Radio reported, citing security data.
In the first half of this year, 660 incidents were recorded as opposed to 405 in 2025, it said.
“During the weekend, an unusual number of 30 nationalist crime incidents were recorded in the territories.”
Since October 2023, at least 1,185 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank, including 250 children. At least 87 Palestinians have been killed so far in the territory in 2026, including 21 killed by settlers.

‘Fascist crimes’: Hamas slams settler attacks on West Bank mosques
Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi has condemned Israeli settlers who burned two mosques in Nablus and Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank.
He called the attacks “systematic fascist crimes” and “a blatant violation of Islamic holy sites that cannot be tolerated”.
The burning of the Al-Rahma Mosque in Qusra, in Nablus governorate, and a mosque in the village of Kour, south of Tulkarem, is “a transgression of all religious, moral, and humanitarian values demonstrating the extent of the depravity and fascism of the occupation and its settler gangs”, Mardawi said in a statement.
He called upon the “steadfast Palestinian people to mobilise” in defence of their mosques and holy sites.
“The heroic Palestinian people will not allow these attacks and will stand as an impenetrable barrier against these grave violations,” Mardawi said.

Palestinians say Israeli settlers torch 2 mosques in West Bank
Palestinian officials say Israeli settlers set fire to two mosques in the occupied West Bank overnight.
Abdel Azim Wadi, mayor of the town of Qusra, south of the city of Nablus, said settlers torched a mosque under construction in the southern part of the town. “The fire destroyed the mosque’s entrance and even damaged its stonework,” he said.
Attackers spray-painted Hebrew graffiti on the mosque’s walls, including the word “revenge”, he added.
Israeli settlers also set fire to a mosque in the village of Kour, near Tulkarem, and sprayed racist slogans on its walls, according to the Palestinian Religious Affairs Ministry.
On Friday, deadly clashes broke out between Israeli settlers and Palestinians in the village of Tal, killing four Palestinians and two Israelis.

At least 30 settler attacks on Palestinians reported so far
Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper’s military correspondent reports a series of overnight “price tag” attacks by settlers targeting Palestinian villages, with mosques and vehicles set on fire and “revenge” graffiti sprayed on property.
One mosque in Qusra was defaced with the slogan “Revenge for Benayahu” – referring to Benayahu Melt, who was killed in Tal village on Friday in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army Radio reported 30 settler attacks were recorded across the Palestinian territory over the weekend.
Haaretz newspaper, citing unnamed sources, reported influential settler figures ignored calls from Israeli army officers to help calm tensions.

Calls for mass mobilisation against Israeli settler attacks
Israeli forces continue large-scale raids across the occupied West Bank for a third consecutive day, carrying out arrest campaigns that detain dozens of Palestinians, as settler attacks escalate across multiple governorates.
Settlers established a new settlement outpost on land belonging to the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah.
Calls were issued across the occupied West Bank for mass mobilisation in response to the escalation in settler attacks. Israeli troops closed military checkpoints surrounding Ramallah.

Hamas praises Palestinian who took Israeli soldier’s weapon in Hebron
The incident in the southern occupied West Bank reflects Palestinians’ determination to “continue the path of resistance”, Hamas official Abdul Rahman Shadid says.
“The seizure of a settler’s weapon by a Palestinian hero in the West Bank … south of Hebron reflects the courage and bravery of our people in confronting the arrogance of the occupation,” Shadid said on Hamas’s Telegram page.
“The heroes of the West Bank and its revolutionary youth continue to write the most magnificent chapters of resistance in the face of settler aggression and the escalating crimes of the occupation against Palestinians and their property.”
The confrontation erupted on Saturday during which a Palestinian snatched an off-duty soldier’s gun, according to the military. The Palestinian, reportedly still at large, apparently fired the weapon into the air during the incident, and no injuries were reported.

Palestinians in West Bank ‘under lockdown’ during Israeli attacks

Last night was a sleepless one for Palestinians across the occupied West Bank.
People are basically under lockdown, isolated, unable to call the firefighters, unable to call for any help or protection – not from the Palestinian police and certainly not from the Israeli army that accompanies the settlers.
They have to stay up to protect their homes from arson attacks by settlers, to protect their loved ones from attacks by settlers.
Anybody who had the misfortune of being on the road overnight was attacked by Israeli settlers who set up several makeshift checkpoints, stopping Palestinian cars, hurling stones at them, assaulting the drivers and the passengers when they could.
So for Palestinians, this is deadly serious. They understand that they’re all on their own. They listen to Israeli ministers and members of the Knesset promising more violence, more “revenge”. And they know the only people they can count on are themselves.
