As we celebrate Baby Jesus's birthday it is worthwhile to remember where it all happened....
Handing Bethlehem over to the Palestinian Authority under Oslo, a move Christians pleaded with Rabin’s government not to take, resulted in a Bethlehem depopulated of Christians and impossible for Jews to enter. Happy Hanukah and Merry Christmas to every bleary-eyed peacenik who pushed for it. Hearts of gold and mush for brains, the lot.
Jesus, a Jew from the Galilee, could not legally visit Bethlehem today since it is controlled by the Palestinian Authority.
This legal restriction came about due to multiple instances of violent attacks, lynchings, and murders of Jews in PA-controlled territories.
