Israel pummels Gaza as negotiators head to Egypt
- Negotiators converge on Egypt ahead of talks aimed at ending nearly two years of war on the Gaza Strip.
- Israeli attacks on Gaza, meanwhile, continue unabated, with at least 11 Palestinians reported killed so far today. One person has also died of forced starvation, the Health Ministry in the besieged territory says.
- Large protests demanding an end to Israel’s war and the release of activists on board a flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza continue, including in Amsterdam and Istanbul.

Explosions as Israeli forces continue attacks on Gaza
We’re not seeing any change on the ground so far. Explosions can still be heard from time to time, and the situation remains extremely harsh for people in the northern parts of Gaza.
Residents say they’re still hearing explosions in the eastern areas, most of which remain completely inaccessible and extremely dangerous.
Israeli forces are reportedly using quadcopters to fire on Palestinians, including some who tried to return to the north from the south and central areas.
Many here are waiting anxiously for the ceasefire deal to take effect so they can go home. But people tell us that some who tried to make that journey yesterday were shot and killed by Israeli forces.
Hospitals are still overwhelmed with the number of wounded, and many Palestinians are dying from their injuries.
Despite all of this, there’s still a sense of cautious hope. People are holding onto the belief that the ceasefire deal will go through.
Gaza death toll rises
Sources in Gaza hospitals say at least 16 people, including two aid seekers, have been killed by Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn.
Ten of them were killed in Gaza City.

What is this. You picked a fight on Oct 7, Isaac accepted your challenge. You kalah teruk, like in 1948, 1967, 1973, etcetera. But you are such special people, Blessed by God maybe, every time you lose, you win territory, Isaac has to give up Gaza that they have conquered, and you get to try Oct 7 again and again and again in future.
