The Attorney-General’s Chambers has decided to classify the investigation into Teoh’s case as requiring no further action (NFA).
In response to the decision, the Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement has called for all DAP ministers to resign.
Its chairman, Ng Yap Hwa, called for transport minister Loke Siew Fook, digital minister Gobind Singh Deo, housing and local government minister Nga Kor Ming, human resources minister Steven Sim, and youth and sports minister Hannah Yeoh to quit their posts.
“They should take full political responsibility on behalf of DAP for failing to fulfil the party’s past promises regarding Teoh’s case.
“This would be the best demonstration of DAP’s commitment to accountability,” Ng said in a statement.
Now why is Nga just calling on DAP ministers, and not prime minister Anwar or the home minister or the law minister to resign ?
Well, I for one think that it might be because the late Teoh Beng Hock was a member of DAP and he likely died in service of DAP.
I say that, because the late Teoh was found dead on the fifth-floor landing of the Plaza Masalam building, the day after he was detained overnight for questioning as a witness by Selangor MACC officers, to assist in the probe of a suspected corruption case, involving PH lawmakers.
The late Teoh Beng hock was not even a suspect in the corruption case, he had merely been called to provide information as a witness, in a case involving PH lawmakers.
When he was found dead at the foot of the MACC building, he was just 30 years of age.
That he had died so young, in a case that didn’t even involve him personally, but DAP, does certainly put the onus on DAP to bring closure to the suspicious circumstances around his death, not only to bring peace to the departed, if you believe in such things, or to assist his loved ones to make peace with the circumstances surrounding his death, but also to safeguard the reputation of DAP as a party worthy of respect.
I don’t know how anyone from DAP is even facing his family members today, now that his case has been closed as NFA by the authorities, although not a single person has been held responsible for his death.
If DAP was a part of the opposition we can understand why DAP might not have the power to do anything to bring closure to the death of the late Teoh Beng Hock, but now that it is in power, what excuse does it have ?
What is DAP telling Teoh Beng Hock’s family when they see them? The past is the past, let bygones be bygones? Here, take some money, go eat, drink and be merry, and forget about what happened to your brother, son, husband and father?
We all want to succeed in life, but we cannot be so wretched, as to enjoy our success in life, while condemning someone who died for our success to die in vain, while their family suffer in silence.
If the authorities truly cannot find the person responsible for Teoh Beng Hock’s death, because 16 years has passed, the least that DAP can do, now that it is in power, to bring the matter to a proper closure, is censure, fire or demote the people who were investigating Teoh Beng Hock’s death or the people who were in charge of the case that caused Teoh Beng Hock’s death.
Malaysians of all persuasions will like understand it if DAP pushes for somebody to be fired or demoted as a means to give closure to Teoh Beng Hock’s death – all of us, regardless of race or religion, do find it disturbing that a witness to MACC was found death after being detained to assist in an investigation, without anyone taking responsibility for his death. None of us, I am quite sure, will be the least bit disapproving, if the people who headed the agency at that time were censured or had their titles and privileges revoked, as a response to their failure to prevent or answer for Teoh Beng Hock’s death.
Considering that, couldn’t DAP find even one person to censure, fire, demote or strip of their titles and privileges, in order to bring closure to Teoh Beng Hock’s death?
If it can’t, then I think it is perfectly reasonable for us to expect the DAP ministers to take responsibility for Teoh Beng Hock’s death to resign from their position.
If they really can’t find anyone to hold responsible for Teoh Beng Hock’s death, then the least they can do is hold themselves responsible and resign their position as ministers, a position they only succeeded to obtain because someone like Teoh Beng Hock stoody by DAP, even if he had to lose his life doing it, to bring the matter to a close.

The worst DAP coward-opportunist has been none other than LKS, who said he (& DAP) was going to continue to highlight the injustice of Teoh Beng Hock’s unresolved murder, and boasted "Malaysians will not rest until justice is done for the killing of Teoh Beng Hock".
