X users mock Wan Ahmad Fayhsal’s defeat in Machang Bersatu Chief race






X USERS are having fun and sharing memes at the expense of Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal after news broke that he lost his bid for the Machang Bersatu division chief post.


Defeated by incumbent Kamaruddin Ab Kadir, Ahmad Fayhsal garnered a meagre 26 votes against Kamarudin’s 103 votes.


The election is part of Bersatu’s divisional-level polls for the 2024-2027 leadership term.


Parody accounts as well as Bersatu and PAS opponents on X are now posting the latter’s photographs and memes, showing that the defeat is a huge personal loss for the MP.

They are poking fun at the outspoken and controversial figure, calling him names with some saying he should not give politics a rest.

One account on X said if a bus were to be filled with 48 passengers, the number of voters supporting Ahmad Fayhsal would keep the bus half empty.



The post shows how important the person has been online since he was elected a Bersatu MP. He is usually the target of attacks from PH supporters.

Harakakdaily, a popular parody account on X that is seen as pro-PH also got into the fray:

“PAS stands in solidarity with Wan Fayhsal after his unsuccessful bid for the Machang Bersatu division chief post.

‘He did not lose; it is merely a delayed victory,’ they said.



Another account joked that the MP lost the party seat poll since he failed to print money.

Ahmad Fayhsal is also trolled regularly online for suggesting, in the past, that economic and inflation problems could be solved by printing more ringgit.



He also challenged Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli for debates on economic matters. —Feb 23, 2025
