PALESTINIAN Solidarity Secretariat spokesman Tian Chua has described the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh as a cruel and inhumane act by the enemies of Palestine.

Describing Ismail who is close to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as one of the individuals who fight endlessly to defend Palestinians from the tyranny of the Zionist Israeli regime, the former two-term Batu MP whose name is Chua Tian Chang told HarakahDaily that the world “should react to the shocking news by strongly condemning this tyranny”.

Recall that Anwar who was en route to Qatar on a working trip has met with Ismail in May this year.

In a Facebook post, Anwar said he conveyed his condolences to Ismail over the loss of several of his family members who were killed in an air strike by the Israeli regime in April.

Considering such background, the expelled former PKR vice-president further raised the likelihood that Ismail’s murder was carried out by the Zionist regime of Israel through Mossad agents since his death was something that would please them.

Moreover, it is also not impossible if the US is the mastermind behind this murder. “Although Ismail’s murder is still under investigation, it is not impossible that they (the US and Israel) are the in this kind of issue,” suggested Chua.

“This is because similar incidents have happened to many influential individuals who are anti-Zionist.”

Added the social activist who prior to fighting for the plight of Palestinians in recent times was involved with the Reformasi movement in 1999 following the sacking of Anwar as deputy prime minister (DPM):

“If it is indeed proven that they are the ones who really committed this heinous crime, then it becomes very clear that the Israeli Zionist regime is the real terrorist state and not the Palestinians.

“This is because they always start war after war not only against the Palestinians but also against any party which is anti-Zionist. Therefore, we cannot longer be silent in defending the Palestinians no matter what happens.” – July 31, 2024
