PN is facing collapse, says Lokman Adam

Focus Malaysia:

PN is facing collapse, says Lokman Adam

UMNO communications director Datuk Lokman Noor Adam said the statement by PAS spiritual leader Datuk Hashim Jasin that PAS can contest in Bersatu’s seat in case of by-elections is very significant as it indicates the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition is heading for dissolution.

Last week, the PAS leader in a statement said that the party will put candidates in all the seats belonging to defecting Bersatu members and for Lokman, this is not a good sign for PN as it indicates the Islamic party’s leadership has little respect for the coalition partners, Bersatu.

“We see that Bersatu has lost its fangs as a result of various things that cause PAS itself to disrespect the leadership of Bersatu, and PN.

“First of all I want to warn Bersatu, if PAS’ spiritual leader starts to open his mouth, this means Bersatu’s voice is no longer valid.

“This is a clear picture of the early stages of PN’s destruction where the voice of the spiritual leader precedes that of PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin,” he said in a video posted on Facebook.

Moreover, Hashim added that PAS is ready to compete in six parliamentary seats and one state assembly seat which is expected to be vacated after Bersatu representatives declared their support for the government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Moreover, Hashim also said that this is based on the Anti-Hopping Act 2022.

“I am also confident that in the atmosphere of goodwill in the components of the PN parties, we can resolve the issue of the candidate as best as possible.” – May 26, 2024
