Are Malaysians Double-Standards Hypocrites?

For the last coup of days we read, hear and wonder at comments and headlines such as:

  • PM Anwar can kiss goodbye to his war against corruption
  • Bersih not ruling out protest over Najib's sentence reduction
  • Free speech is alive but dispensed selectively
  • Pua's sedition probe: Surendran laments 'shameful' silence from Harapan
  • Najib's reduced sentence: 'Harapan will pay the price in GE16'

You won't be blamed at all, No, for thinking the Malaysian World of politics has finally collapsed or that its Apocalypse has arrived.

Yet, as Commander S Thayaparan wrote in his column in Malaysiakini's Najib’s reduced sentence: DAP has got nothing to show for it (see follows):

Andrew Sia wrote a piece which I suppose accurately reflected the feelings of the base when Zahid was embraced by Harapan: “Sadly, in the real world, sometimes deals with the darker side may be needed, however unpleasant they are.”

For the “greater good”, which in Churchill’s case was the defeat of Nazi Germany. Zahid and Umno may be a lightning rod for Harapan supporters’ anger.

But why do they accept Sarawak’s GPS and Sabah’s GRS support of the federal coalition government? Are those traditional politicians of East Malaysia squeaky clean? Just read Sarawak Report for the answer.

But if corruption cases are launched against Sabah and Sarawak MPs, the coalition government will probably quickly collapse. And incompetent leaders like former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin and PAS extremists will take over.”

... which has been why I believe most Malaysians have double-standards hypocrisy. Indeed, I recall not too long ago, just a couple of years back, how some 'idealistic' young Malaysians warmly (and gullibly) embraced KKKK as "our beloved Tuk', but today realised what a shitload of kerbau-ish poo they had 'swallowed', wakakaka.

Again as Commander mentioned in his (same) MKINI column "Najib is not the worst of the kleptocrats that Harapan has demonised", I feel the same and, again as mentioned above by Andrew Sia, “Sadly, in the real world, sometimes deals with the darker side may be needed, however unpleasant they are.”

Wake up lah, you gullible guppies, and cease your harassment of PMX and instead, focus on the fearsome future yet to come.

  2. For good or evil, the future is created one step at a time.
We have to fight for the future one step at a time.

PMX cannot be simply let off the hook for his Najib maneuvers.

  3. Humans are wonderful, isn't it?
Everyone think they are upright and everyone else isn't!!!
The religious, bloggers, keyboard warriors, the NGOs, netizens, vegans, environmentalist, the oppositions, the supporters of opposition parties, (what the heck, even ktemoc) all think they and only they, are angelic.

No one but they should ever compromise on any issues.

Incidentally, I, the righteous one, is 100% with commander and andrew
