TikToker tells Dr Halimah Ali to use PAS choppers to send humanitarian aid to Gaza

IN February this year, controversial PAS Kapar MP Dr Halimah Ali was forced to apologise after she made an uncouth remark against the Menu Rahmah proposed by the late domestic trade and costs of living minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

The Sarawak-born medical doctor by training had linked the RM5 menu with several illnesses such as cancer, autoimmune diseases and autism.

Most recently, the Perikatan Nasional (PN) lawmaker has again made an ‘out of this world’ suggestion in the Dewan Rakyat – something that probably would never cross anyone’s mind in a war-torn zone.

In the august house on Wednesday (Aug 1), Dr Halimah had asked why food and other humanitarian aids cannot be flown via air to Gaza.

Hasn’t she wondered herself before posing her question that with rockets flying around from both sides in the on-going Israeli-Hamas conflict, any foreign aircrafts and even drones would be deemed an enemy target and be shot down immediately?

This raises the question if PN formed a new federal government tomorrow and Dr Halimah is made the Health Minister, wouldn’t this be a repeat of former Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba who has put the country in stitches with his infamous ‘Spanish fly’ sexual stimulant remark?

It was a slip of tongue that caused him the embarrassing twist when he was speaking about the Spanish Flu pandemic which killed millions of people in just two years in the early 20th century.

Suggestions for Dr Halimah

Based on her experience helping out with the victims of the Aceh tsunami previously, Dr Halimah has claimed that most of the supplies were transported via air.

Her assumption was that with international agreement, the planes sent by Malaysian government would “not be shot down by the Zionist regime”.

However, the 63-year-old medical doctor from the University of Tasmania is making a very naïve statement in the Malaysian parliament, either knowingly or unknowingly.

One TikToker going by the name Amir Ghaffar suggested that PAS has in its possession a number of helicopters that can be used to deliver the food and medical aids supply to the Palestinians.

“One is a helicopter purchased by PAS in 2015 which has been delivered to Malaysia,” he teased. “The helicopter is all ready to fly because it comes complete with the propeller and carries with it the PAS logo.”

Another helicopter, added the netizen, can land anywhere, including on slopes. Adding to the laughter, Amir showed a photograph of another helicopter which can land on tall buildings, including the small lanes between the buildings.

If none of the above is unsuitable, there is yet another helicopter which is currently berthed in Bachok, Kelantan. “It has a capacity of 80,000 tonnes,” he commented, emphasising that the helicopter comes with a propeller and looks terrific!

Towards the end of the video, the netizen attempted to educate the good doctor. “We are not in a diplomatic relation with Israel. The moment they see these helicopters, their (first instinct) is to immediately take them down unless the permission to fly over Israel is granted by PN,” Amir concluded his satire. – Nov 5, 2023
