Annuar Musa considers political comeback with ‘right party’
The Umno veteran has said he did not know why he was expelled from the party in December.
Former Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa says he is looking for a party that matches his political values of ‘protecting Islam, the Malays and the country’.
PETALING JAYA: Former Umno veteran Annuar Musa is considering joining a new political party three months after he was sacked by the party.
The former Umno secretary-general and Ketereh MP said he is “seriously thinking” about choosing a party that matches his political values of “protecting Islam, the Malays and the country”.
“Hopefully, there is a party that is willing to accept me as a member,” he said in an online posting today.
He said he had spent the past three months evaluating and observing current political developments.
A member of Umno since 1979, Annuar was dropped from Barisan Nasional’s line-up in the November general election.
In December, Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan confirmed that Annuar and two other divisional leaders had been sacked by the party.
Annuar has maintained that he does not know why he was sacked, adding that he had not been accused of any wrongdoing.
Since then, the former minister has been busy leading his NGO Muafakat Nasional.

ReplyDeleteBut then his choices are obvious. So I suggest he joins Pejuang which needs oxygen to survive. With his experience, he can be a real pejuang.
No need, unless it's about his soon to be screening Court charges for selling the KL Tower.....need pn to cover his legal bills. Least they can do for this Crotch Crab- kutu koteh aka Trojen horse for Pn in Umno.
ReplyDeletewhat has or can he contribute to the betterment of the country except racial and religious politics and the hope of becoming a warlord again... seriously the country would be a more peaceful place without a divisive character like him, one would have thought he would feel right at home with taliban wannabe pas but apparently he doesn't think much about them or perhaps tarik harga dulu
