Azmin’s dilemma - to stay or to leave, again

Azmin’s dilemma - to stay or to leave, again

YOURSAY | ‘The former PKR deputy is in cesspit of his own making.’

PKR: Our door is closed to 'traitor' Azmin

Aide: There was no Azmin-PKR meet

Last for Best: The purported self-claimed amnesia (of meeting PKR leaders) by former deputy president Azmin Ali is not only blatantly deceitful and insulting to all and sundry, but is also an irrecoverable stigma of undeniable shame that should condemn him to wallow in the cesspit of his own making.

No party of any decency or repute should ever touch him with even a barge-pole as his treacherous and conniving antics had been glaringly proven and outrageously designed to fulfil his own political agenda that is seemingly self-serving.

Kilimanjaro: Azmin's political life is not just hanging in the balance but looks like the limelight is over. And rightly so. Just a step away from the PKR presidency, he ruined his political career because of his impatience and greed.

The people were up in arms when he went through the "back door" to apparently nominate himself as a candidate for the Selangor menteri besar's post even though then party president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail was poised to take over the post.

He did this treacherous act together with PAS. He should have been sacked then but PKR was spineless to do that.

There is talk that there are still "traitors" within PKR; would PKR have the spine to deny them as candidates in the next election?

Siva 1967: Don't just close the door, slam it right in their faces. The traitors who sabotaged the rakyat's mandate must be buried come GE15.

If they have an iota of pride in them, they will not stand in the next GE. And for some thick-skin reason that these traitors do stand, they should be made to lose their deposits.

Yes, Harapan should be wary of the traitors within. With the recent party elections, there may be some sour grapes who will be on the lookout for "perks" or "crumbs" from the other side.

IndigoJaquar7545: Azmin is desperate now. Perikatan Nasional (PN) had two years to "make their political image and prove their anti-corruption, multiracial coalition" but they failed.

Azmin has run out of time. Once and if Pakatan Harapan wins the 15th general election (GE15), many corrupt people will be on the chopping block.

It's over. Abandon all traitors and let an independent MACC prosecute all.

Iphonezours: PKR, in the first place this topic (meeting with Azmin) should not have surfaced at all.

PKR claimed that it has cleansed all members who had any connection with Azmin, as such there should not be any contact with such traitors.

These traitors in Bersatu know too well that their future is bleak and want to secure a place through cooperation or be part of a big tent with Harapan for their own survival.

By the way, who were these so-called emissaries who met up with Azmin? They should be sacked.

BR: PKR president Anwar Ibrahim and former secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail are creating a perception that they are not trustworthy.

Since last week, the media have been reporting rumours of a meeting but there was no denial from either of these two PKR bigwigs.

Can PKR be trusted? If PKR is to be seen as serious, they should haul up the two "officials" for discussing with Azmin without the party's blessing.

PurpleKoala5651: It is a fair decision by the PKR central council to reject Azmin, the main traitor, so as to earn some public trust.

It caused some unhappiness when news leaked that Azmin met two PKR representatives. What are the two up to? Are they the Trojan horses still in PKR? Enough is enough.

Pink: Why would Azmin want to rejoin PKR, a doomed party? Azmin has had an illustrious career, as an MP, state assemblyperson, menteri besar and senior minister.

He will retire - if not elected again, considering his popularity and astuteness - with a handsome pension at a young age.

Most people can only dream to be like Azmin, and most of them cannot be like him. So, they just wish that he will fall, just to make them feel good.

Treveloka Winning: I agree that this must be the work of the desperate PKR politicians. PKR was dumped by Azmin, not the other way round.

And now they talk as if Azmin is desperate to come back and they act as if they are the choosy ones. Isn't this a joke?

Let me give you some history lessons. Azmin left PKR in a brilliant move called the Sheraton Move. And because of this, Malaysia is now governed by a winning government.

After two years, PKR now has degenerated into Pasti Kalah Rupanya (Must Sure Fail) party, and on the other hand, Bersatu is rising like a morning star as people are scrambling to join the Boleh Menang (Can Win) party; the response is so overwhelming that both front and back doors have to be used!

So, all the more reason for Azmin to reject PKR.

Vgeorgemy: There will be blatant attempts to destabilise the new leadership in PKR. They will do everything to spread disinformation on accepting such treacherous elements.

PKR must be wary of such moves, which will strengthen the racist and extremist elements within our communities.
