PETALING JAYA: Johor has become an arena for some desperate political parties to “test the market” using “sexy slogans”, says Umno vice-president Khaled Nordin.
“New players such as Warisan, Parti Bangsa Malaysia, Pejuang, and Muda have turned Johor into an arena to test their markets with sexy slogans like Johor Bangkit (Johor Rise) and Reset among others.
“They came without any concrete plans for Johor. But the Johor state elections is not an arena for you to measure your marketability, it’s a serious matter,” Khaled said in a Facebook posting.
Khaled, a former menteri besar of Johor, said their presence in the elections, without a concrete agenda for the people, merely helped to enliven democracy.
He urged voters to choose a party that has a solid agenda for the people and not a party that depends on a “sexy” slogan.
