It looks like DAP and Amanah are afraid of a secret deal between PKR and Hamzah's Bersatu, and thus this warning.
Isn't that almost a case of the pot calling the kettle black? After all, DAP and Amanah had a secret meeting to strike a deal with Mahathir, without their partner PKR's knowledge.
Kim Quek: If Sarawak's GPS and Sabah Umno could see that Mahathir was merely fooling around with his latest hat trick to put up Shafie as Harapan Plus candidate for the premiership, why must the top echelon of DAP and Amanah take Mahathir’s bait, hook, line and sinker?
Can’t they see that Mahathir is the father of racial polarisation of the country, and now he is embarking on regional polarisation, pitting East Malaysia against Peninsular Malaysia by unrealistically proposing Shafie as PM?
Do they want to continue to embrace Mahathir so hard and fast that they are willing to forego their political objectives and sacrifice of a lifetime by breaking up with PKR?
Mahathir is now at his destructive best, knowing that his political future is doomed. Do DAP and Amanah want to follow suit?

My advice to these seasoned and hardened political warriors for the people is to step back and take a pause, and ponder: where are we heading, really?

During the 22 months when he was prime minister, Mahathir had secret meetings with almost "everyone" in Umno, PAS, Sabah parties, Sarawak parties and those who later became “rebels” that led to the 'Sheraton Move'. Why did DAP and Amanah keep quiet in those months?
Going forward, official or unofficial meetings should be held and announced by Harapan presidential council.
This should apply to all the components of Harapan. There are too much stabbing and back-stabbing going on. They are losing the trust of the rakyat.
Bobby0: It is time for Harapan to decide who their allies and enemies are. Bersatu had always been the stumbling block in the coalition as a partner. They were responsible for the many U-turns and sensitive decisions that created major frictions within the partnership.
Can they forget the khat issue and the arrest of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) suspects? Who was responsible for the major hue and cry that nearly destabilised Harapan?
It is time for Harapan, which has a good number of MPs, to give PN a run for its money. Go down to the ground and start serving the people. Focus on how you can help the public in states that are under your control.
Stop this politicking as it is a waste of time. There are major problems at hand and more to come as the Covid situation is not slowing down. It will affect the nation’s coffers seriously.
Focus on the people and let them see who is more effective in getting the job done.

Mahathir has wrecked BN at least four times in the last three decades. It looks like he is doing the same to Harapan now.
Fair Play: Now I wonder why both Amanah and DAP use their second echelon leaders to deliver their message. It looks like the rift between PKR and the other coalition partners is far deeper than what is being seen at the moment. Is this Mahathir’s secret weapon to break up Harapan Plus?
I am not taking sides, except to say this: Politics is the art of the possible, there are no permanent friends or enemies, only political expediency. So finally, the 20-plus years of marriage of convenience have come to an end?
MS: So, what do we now have here? A hopelessly broken Harapan with one side issuing a not-so-veiled "do not collude" warning to another.
Which only means the coot has finally succeeded in destroying whatever (imagined) hope there was for a "new" Malaysia.
But are there heroes and villains in this serialised "Politik Melayu Hari Ini" drama? No. There are only 50 shades of villainy, with each shade attractive to and supported by a portion of the populace.
Everything said and done, this is a population that truly deserves its villains... and everything they bring with them.

But why only blame DAP and Amanah ? What happened to Anwar ? Why was he quiet too ?
