Khairy’s views are his own, says Najib
Former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin’s statement that Umno should move on following today’s SRC International verdict is merely his personal opinion, said Najib Abdul Razak.
The former prime minister added that he has no issues with Khairy’s (photo, above) statement because everyone has the right to express their views.
“No problem. Everyone can have their views. It’s just a personal opinion,” he told reporters when met outside the Kuala Lumpur High Court after judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali had handed down the verdict.
Earlier, Nazlan had found Najib guilty for all seven charges of abuse of power, breach of trust, and money laundering in relation to SRC International, which is formerly a 1MDB subsidiary.
He sentenced Najib to serve 12 years of imprisonment as well as a fine of RM210 million.

As a Muslim, although I said this during the early part of the trial, let me say this again: Wallahi, wabillahi, watallahi. I did not demand RM42 million. I did nor plan (to receive) RM42 million nor was RM42 million offered to me. There were no witnesses to say so. I had no knowledge of the RM42 million.Wallahi, wabillahi, watallahi

Khairy opined that this is the time for Umno to move on and rejuvenate the party.
“Although everyone has the right to offer moral support to Najib, I hope Umno won’t be dragged into this case. I’m sure Umno members will continue to be loyal to the party, more than their loyalty to any individual in the party.
“It is time to rebuild the sacred Umno and look at transitioning to a generation of leadership that will bring the party into a new era,” the Rembau MP wrote on his website.
Meanwhile, Najib expressed disappointment towards the count’s guilty verdict on the charges against him.
He said the defence would not stop and file an appeal at the Court of Appeal, and he would continue to work towards clearing his name.
“I am very disappointed in the judiciary in the SRC case because we (the defendants) are led by Muhammad Shafee, and my lawyer has made arguments that could raise many doubts about the case although these were not accepted.
“Nevertheless, the appeal to the Court of Appeal will be done as soon as possible, and I hope the case will be heard soon.
“I wish to continue the fight to clear my name,” he said.
Najib is on the borderline of contempt of court.
ReplyDeleteIf Najib had no knowledge of the RM 42 Million, why did he use all the might at his disposal while he was PM, to suppress and oppress whoever brought up the issue of the money missing from SRC ?
ReplyDeleteA far as PM Najib was concerned, no money was missing, and no crime committed.
The "I don't know nothing" defence is concocted after the fact, after losing power. Too late.
KT, what's that zombieic swearing from pinklips for?
ReplyDeletePicture too!
U should do a Da Vinci's the smile of Mona Lisa - no words just picture.
More telling then!
"Wallahi, wabillahi, watallahi"
ReplyDeleteNajib swore an oath that Allah would punish him if he was lying about never having known Altantuya.
Well, Allah works in mysterious ways, sometimes through other people and institutions , not by sending thunderbolts, wakakaka..
is najib oath as powerful as his buddy saiful one?
DeleteSaiful is also at the bottom of the sewer right now.
DeleteNothing good come out long term of their evil ways.
There were two central lines to Jibby's Defence.
ReplyDeleteFirst one was the Saudi Royal Donation. Yet throughout the 90-day court proceedings NOT A SINGLE Arab Royal was produced to back up this defence. The High Court judge was very clear about what he thought about it: he simply didn't buy it.
The second line of defence was "I was tricked, duped and used by Jho Low, Nik Faisal, Jasmine Loo etc etc..." Again NOT A SINGLE ONE of them was produced in court. Heck, every one of them is conveniently missing.
So I hope Hotshot lawyer continues to use these two lines of defence in the Motherload 1MDB trial....
Boss don't la just cut n paste. Tell us your views ley.. hehehe
ReplyDeleteWakakaka..my warung buddy tells me Najib's press conference declaration amounts to mere gossipy Talk.
ReplyDeleteNot valid as a holy oath.
Not surprising, considering how non-holy Najib is.....
The whole charade is just a cynical show to impress gullible guppies, his invincible supporters, including gullibel guppies like Ktemoc.
