What new party? Azmin downplays speculation about future plans
International Trade and Industry Minister Azmin Ali downplayed speculations that he may be setting up a new political party for his group of supporters.
Azmin (above) had led 10 PKR MPs, including himself, to defect to Perikatan Nasional in late February, which was instrumental to the formation of the new government but their political platform remains unclear.
"I don’t know anything about a new party. Who said there is a new party?" Azmin was quoted as saying by Free Malaysia Today.
Azmin’s allies have set up at least two vehicles to gather his supporters.
Seberang Jaya assemblyperson Dr Afif Bahardin has set up Pemuda Negara while Lembah Jaya assemblyperson Haniza Talha has set up Nation of Women.
Both have been sacked from PKR. The NGOs are seen as the possible future youth and women's wing of a new political party.
Asked if the new political party is facing delays in being registered, Azmin maintained that no application has ever been made.
For now, Azmin and other PKR defectors are appearing as MPs under Bersatu even though they have not officially joined the party.

kaytee notes: If/when Ass-binte sets up his new party, it's likely he'll duplicate the PKR name and symbol as much as possible.
That's why a name mentioned a couple of times for his new party is Parti Keadilan Negara (PKN which is pretty close to PKR). We can expect similar symbol and colouring as per PKR's.
Another interesting issue will be that of the future of Tian Chua. What will he do? Stay with PKR until Anwar forgives him, or frogs over to PKN?
Tian Chua is now so hated by PKR that I doubt he'll stay back in PKR even if Anwar and family forgive him. But who knows?
